Anyone got a sneaky way to see if the freeze plug (#6 in diagram) is still in place without removing Gearcase? Well crap.... diagram is way to shrunk to see... anyway.... those whom would know this answer is liable to know exactly what am referring to without needing to look at diagram. (D1100A engine)

PS added PDF that shows it good... with pdf reader can enlarge diagram too

Simple answer...no not really.

You can pull the throttle plate point a borescope in it's direction and pour antifreeze in it and if you see green, bingo it's out!

Drain oil after doing that. ;)

Coach, you found a good explanation to the plug coming out....no antifreeze in system! He said 6 hrs. You better get busy, and remember put the bolts back where they belong.. I use a piece of styrofoam or cardboard and make a drawing of the piece I'm removing and insert the bolts in the proper location on the drawing.
