My neighbor came down with his M7060 and we walked it right out. Thank heavens it wasn’t a JD!
Hoping to get my underground dog fence installed today. Figured I should probably sort this mess out first. Been putting it off because of the heat. Root rake grapple, box blade were the tools for this job.
ran the lower tines at about ground level using the curl to change the angle and then lifting up and down to keep it scraping. Then dropped the scarificers to max aggressive dig and ran up and down the area until it was all broken up. Followed by lifting the scarificers up and adjusting the top link to make the blade it’s least aggressive to level it out. 163 hrs on the machine and my only regret is not buying it sooner!!

The bucket might have helped you get out. Thinking the grapple wasn't much help.

We've all been there!
I buried our old 'Moline as a teenager. Took a shortcut to our firewood cutting spot on our farm. I was way off our normal tractor trails. There was no bottom....
Dad was so mad. I don't remember anything for the rest of the day.....
A few days later, a neighbor farmer hooked his IH 1486 to it....was all it wanted to do to pull it.

Yeah the bucket would have helped. The grapple was useless in this situation. Was able to get some timber under the pins to lift the front wheels and undo the vacuum from the mud. Got some timber under the front wheels then. Learned a lot lol.Ouch, tight to the fence.....

Got the boards for my deck redo. Truck couldn't get down the road, so tractor to the rescue! It was painstaking (had to go really slow) but I managed to get the bundle of 16-foot boards set nicely by the deck.
Since my grapple is on its way (made it to NY then mysteriously back in Charlotte) I finished the hydraulic hoses from the fel to the rear remote. I have to congratulate myself on measuring - the hose length was perfect 
Today I started the real work on the lawn. Used the box blade to spread 800lbs of limestone. That's 1/2 of it. The spreader I planned on using wouldn't work with the limestone Then I used the box blade to really rip the lawn up. Tomorrow I'll spread the other 800lbs and maybe get to use the tiller.

Put a Top-n-Tilt kit from FitRite Hydraulics on the new LX3310. Looks great, works like a charm. (Yeah, I know -- gotta repaint that ugly iMatch Kubota gray. First on my list of winter projects.)
Thanks! I get credit for building this one out of stuff I had laying around but I got inspiration from a ton of different post on here and some YouTube videos. Here’s a better picture. If I ever use it again I will hose clamp the pipe to the scarificer. A few times I had to hop off, bend it closer and then back up and go again. Because it would bend away from the cutting edge and the cable wouldn’t go into the little trench. I also bent the top of the pipe on a better angle for the wire to feed in as it was rubbing on the coating a bit.

Changed battery. No issues with old one.

This was yesterday. Cut loaded and delivered 2 loads to sawmill at one amish farm couple towns over. He only charges 15cents a board foot for milling. So hoping 2 or 3 loads tomorrow. Cant afford the lumber for what crap they are selling at hardware stores these days. And have a few projects to get done so cutting more trees to thin out crap so we can add more taps on sugar bush. So dual goal accomplish in progress lol the homade manure forks we use to clean barn and old hay from round bale feeders, were awesome for loading logs, moving brush. Best couple hundred bucks spent! Huge thank you to Awsome welding in Charleston vt for makeing my idea work. Hes working on a 3pt hitch bale spear with slide on balast box now. Then 1 more prodject be4 winter for him. Lol. Between full time job and farm it's best to hire something's out for me.
My next chapter in the new lawn saga. As mentioned I spread 800lbs of limestone yesterday and ripped the lawn up pretty well with the box blade. Today I removed a ton of harvested stones from all that ripping as well as several good sized roots. Note to self, 80' oaks have large roots.
The plan was to spread the other 800lbs today and remove all the roots that are sticking up. If I can't rip them up then I'll just cut them out.
Of course my wife had another idea. . . Several years ago I made a berm about 70' long and 4' high right at the edge of the lawn / woods. I planted a variety of flowering plants. The deer thanked me for my generosity and ate them. After replacing them a couple of times I finally gave up. Deer 1, Jerry 0.
The berm just became a pile of dirt covered in weeds. My wife wanted it out. As my #3 son suggested, better do it now or rip up the new lawn later. So this morning I demolished the berm with the loader and box blade. It took about 2 hours. This is the 'after' pic with where the berm was marked in.
I thought I could finish the lime spreading this afternoon and till everything tomorrow. Then the rain came Now I'm stuck and will have to wait till everything dries out. The one plus is the lime will get a good start dissolving.

This is a continuation from Reply #9564 back on Page #479. Wow how time flies.
Both of the gearboxes were replaced on my Bushhog 3008, shown here before the input shaft were connected.
Looking good underneath.
@$500 each I did not replace the stumpjumpers but it did get new blades.
So now my Bushhog is happily back on the farm and hooked up to the M4900. Actually I too am happy.

Responding to Old Paint in post #9742 - yes, bent the blade on my shredder. Managed to get back up and put PB Blaster on the nuts but didn’t get to replace the blades. I did get a picture if I can get it to post
