I'll bet this is a fake/scam ad as they go for far more than that!
Buyer beware!
Completely possible, although it doesn't read like a typical Craigslist scam ad.
Buyer beware as always

I'm not knocking your Posting at all, I've just gotten really good at finding fake CL postings.

The clues:
A ridiculously low price.
22 day long post.
A phone number with a florida area code.
A fancy border around a picture.
An odd, poorly, and shortly written description.

I happened to be looking at these a few weeks back. I came across some very interesting buying tips on YouTube. One guy posted very much information on his purchase. He included the import sellers name, address, prices and video of the trucks he inspected. He even posted a video on how he lifted his mini truck and showed it driving through some really muddy terrain. Anyway, try looking on YouTube. There is a lot of information on there.

Guy down the road has one for his farm (just like the picture). Pretty neat but cost quite a bit more than a grand. I think it's a scam too.

With CL, if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't.

most of the ones im finding in a 200 mile of my zip are running from $2600-$5200...

so those are pretty much inline.

there is a place down in TX that has a pile of them in teh $4k range. would cost me about $800 more to get it shipped here.

All great points. Like I said, buyer beware.

I drive by a house not far from me, quite often, and there are atleast 2 of those mini trucks sitting there. IIRC, one has a for sale sign in the windshield too.

I would advise anyone interested in purchasing one of these trucks to be sure to drive it first. I was looking at one a few years ago and I literally could not get in it. There is not much room inside them. If you're over 6'-0" you'll need an "extended" cab!

Some of them are road legal. I don’t know if a drive from Texas to Ohio would be much fun in one though.

If the place in Texas is San Marcos (I saw some on Craig’s list I think) I could go to see it for you if you want. That is about an hour away from me.

They were the rage here for about 6 months. People figured out that most of us are too big to fit in them. Also, getting parts can be interesting depending on the model/make/etc. How in the world did ya break a crankshaft in a Rhino? 450,660, or 700? I've got PLENTY of experience with a Rhino. Picked one up for my disabled brother back in December for $1000 with no compression, did a top end overhaul and he's in love with it. 2006 660. I wish it was a 700, but not for any extra power (because there isn't much difference between a 660 and 700) but for the quieter and smoother operation.

A couple of neighbors have them. Being able to carry plywood and have a enclosed cab are the selling points. Though it is more of a fun thing to have. Instead, I'd just drive a PU in 4wd. How many engines to I want to service every year?

LUG,

im a "economy size" guy... LMAO no problem fitting.

now about that Rhino: yeah i love them & this one has been really good since i put the new clutch & goodies in it.

havent got it apart all teh way yet. gonna pull the motor this weekend to see for sure.

talked to Motorcycle DR & he told me this DOES happen to them from time to time & that he has had 2 at his shop this year.

its not actually the crankshaft. he says it should be the shaft that runs thru the bottom of the case AFTER its being turned by the tranny.

sometimes this shaft breaks, sometimes it breaks from its mounting location in the case?

beats me. until i get it out, flip it over & open it up? i dunno....

if its just a few parts? SURE will run thru the motor & keep on trucking.

but if the case is ruined? i'll probably move to the mini truck.

way less money than a new motor or SxS.

419 area code is Lucas County, greater Toledo, 15 miles south of me.

Do know one thing, I'd hate to get in an accident with that. Your kneecaps would be first on the scene with the grill.....

thanks for bumping my thread & letting me know what you found fellow buckeyes! appr'd it!

so heres the one i picked up:

turns out we have lots of "mini truck laws" in ohio that were put into place 1-1-17 just for mini trucks!! sigh.

If any of you need info on that let me know.

to sum it up quickly? you will be better off to just run a orange triangle or farm use tag & follow those rules.

good news? this little booger is AWESOME on our trails & hills at our little place. its already went everywhere the Rhino went & lots of places the tractor couldnt!

got a sweet deal(so far) on this one. EVERYTHING works! including the A/C!!

YES it has A/C!! already got the 2" lift kit on it, overload springs & 6ply tires/rims.

gonna give it a tune up & new valve cover gasket.. probably install a tach.

fun fun fun!

now if i can get that grapple set up on my tractor? then i can put the brush on the back of this & haul it to my burn pile!

******EDIT NOTE***** hey the one you posted is a Sambar version. those have a great engine in them & are the "faster" models.. they also have more room in the cab as the motor is all the way in the back end. Drawback is lots of people say they dont go quite as good in the muck because of where all the weight is sitting on the rear wheels & then so is the load.

YES its 4wd with 4hi/lo & 2hi/lo PLUS rear Diff lock!

the only drawback ive found so far is that it doesnt have the suspension travel of a RZR/rhino/4hweeler.

if you are on a rough or washboard surface? it wants to buck... beating you against the headrests... so sit loose & forward on rough climbs.

the turning is something i gotta get used to, the front wheels are literally under your a$$. so it turns TIGHT!

HERE is the Ohio special code/law passed on Mini's: http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/4511.215
