This is from the Northern Tool site. Has anyone tried the Draw Bar Stabalizer? It is supposed to be a 2" receiver for a cat 1 draw bar.

do you mean tried this very one or any of the many on the market, or homemade ones? if the latter I for one like them pretty much any design. i think it makes a bar more functional.

Kytim, yes I was thinking this one. I had a Northern coupon, so I was going to buy it rather than take the time to make it.

I bought one from Northern Tool and use it with my L3800. The receiver on the stabalizer is the same size as on my other vehicles. No problems towing my utility trailer loaded with firewood.

Rschlink, thanks. I plan to order it today. BTW, I grew up in NW MO and went to school in Columbia. I saw where you got record snow falls last winter. At least from what I hear, the Missouri River is staying in its banks this year.
