When I turn the ignition switch to the off position, it will not kill the motor. I have to use the kill switch to shut the motor down. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

That's what the engine stop knob is supposed to do... At least it does on my B series 7300.

Yours may be different TexasBill from Arkansas.

TexasBill, on a diesel engine you starve it of fuel to terminate it's ability to run! Turning the start switch to a different position does not effect the fuel supply. Pull (or push, as required) the fuel shutoff to stop the engine.

Blown fuse is what caused mine. There's a solenoid stop valve that shuts the fuel off, if it gets no power (activated by turning the key to off), it will not shut the fuel off.

Fuel solenoid failure or the circuit that feeds it, probably via a fuse and a timer relay.
Locate and check fuse.
Locate the fuel solenoid on the injection pump and disconnect the feed line and attach test light to the feed wire turn the key on then off and the light should light for about 8 seconds.

I pretty much learn something new here everyday.
