my TG has the same problem, but not nearly that bad... maybe 1/3rd turn of the wheel.
Might be 2 issues adding up to all that slop...
the nut on the pivot pin on the front axle might have loosened off... I noticed on my tractor the front axle would move(twist) a bit at the pivot point when I turned the steering wheel.
also, the ball joints on the steering linkage have no grease nipples, so they wear and get sloppy after a few years.
Should be easy to see if either of these issues is your problem.
enjoy your TG... had mine since July 1998, 1050 hours now, still going strong.
