My Kubota L4330 (about 10 years old), has recently started stalling. It makes a clicking sound just before it cuts out. The clicking and stalling can be very rapid on/off a couple of times per second, or it just completely stalls. When it completely stalls, I can turn the engine over, but it won't start .... until I hear a click again, then it starts just fine.

I changed the fuel filter and bleed the fuel lines, but it still does the same thing ... any advice on where to start?

Thanks,
m.

My L3800 will make a clicking sound if the safety switch under the seat is triggered. It will click then start to die unless weight is put back on seat.

Thanks TN ... yeah it sounds like that type of a noise, but it does it even when it's in neutral. Once it stalls, if you leave the ignition switched on, you can hear it clicking on and off intermittently, without the motor running (but ignition powered on).

Fuel shut off relay or solenoid is failing, check connections on both, a bad ground on either will also cause the same problem. ;)

Follow your foot throttle pedal linkage to the engine. The solenoid is at the end of the linkage on the side of the fuel injection pump.

It's mounted at the front of the motor pointing to the rear, and the injector pump.

You guys are awesome, thanks!

I replaced the battery today (10 years old) and it might have done the trick. I still need to do a test drive yet (once it drys up here), but it ran for over 20 mins idling, without stalling ... fingers crossed.

Thanks again!
