Update....picked up a few more Kubotas

Just picked up a G5200 the other day with 765 hours and in great shape. In the process of doing all the routine maintenance plus rust preventative and repainting the deck. Looking forward to learning more about these machines.

But wait a minute, the engine is in there backwards!:D

Welcome, but be careful diesel powered things become addictive.

Got some stuff done today...

Oil and filter
UDT2, filter, and bolt screen thing
Drained fuel, replaced both filters
Coolant, thermostat, and overflow bottle
Greased everything
Cleaned everything
Removed deck, cleaned, ospho’d, POR15’d, sprayed orange.
Added some wheel weights

Everything is back together minus the deck, still waiting for paint to dry.

Nice detail work. If you ospho’d it how did you get painted already? Need to give it a day to dry, don't you?

Anyone know the frame color? Kubota blue? or Dark Grey Enamel?

Also, how do I find out what year this thing is? Serial number on the frame is 38122. Serial number on the engine is 118151.

TIA

Used the tractor yesterday after all the maintenance, ran like a top. What a difference in my yard the wheel weights made, I barely had any slip. Coolant needle never made it more than a third of the way. Friggin love this thing.

Made some deck adjustments yesterday. Noticed the deck I have is a RC48-G20. It’s kind of a pain in the ass because there aren’t any turnbuckles, so you have to disconnect each arm for every adjustment.

I like to keep my grass tall, so the couple of times I’ve mowed, I’ve left the deck raised. The driveline angle is fine and doesn’t come into contact with anything. I was able to get it pretty even, hopefully, when this monsoon is over I can test it out.

Also put another coat of metal protector on the deck.

The manual for the deck has some specific measurements for length of those buckles. Makes deck spot-on level.

Wait...I just noticed your deck pto points to the rear?

That's different from my G5200. Where does your pto power come from?
