What is this for? My ROPS rattles something terrible. Can I get a bolt to put in this hole to stop that? This is on a B2650.

My BX came with them...

As did mine. BUT, I did not tighten them down when I had the ROPS down and one fell out, then got hit by the mower on the next pass.
I built a 'new' one using parts from TSC.

That hole is there for a bolt to tighten the ROPS in place so it doesn't rattle. My L4701 came with bolts, not a knob, and it's solid with no rattles.

No, that is incorrect! I agree that it should! But in somebodies infinite wisdom at Kubtoa they are not standard. We noticed it about two + years ago on the new rigs coming off the trucks.

My BX came with them. Either a dealer add on or it was factory.

Around here, the BX is the only model I see that come with anything in there.

Funny. Maiden voyage with my new BX yesterday, one of those things fell, got mowed over, found it, still good, did not know what its purpose was, removed both. I'm good.

And, my drive on deck, demonstrated by the dealer in my driveway when it was delivered, turns out was not properly mounted, that fell off as well. Had to drag it out and up to the house and put the damn thing back on right.

Lessons learned....

Uhm, there is no gotcha. As stated, O.P. has a B2650 and that was where the thread/conversation were pertaining to!

Current prouct below:

So BX (knob)
B standard or deluxe current product (nothing)
L standard (jamb bolt) grand (nothing)
MX (nothing)

My B2301 (bought brand new from dealer 10/2016) had one installed and it doesn't back all the way out, so it can't get lost I assume. The other side of the ROPS isn't even threaded, so I guess only one can be installed on my tractor.

B2650 owner here... I did not get those but I would like either to buy them or find a bolt that fits the opening. Does anyone know the thread size?
