Hello,

I am new to kubota tractors. I just recently purchased a mid 80's garden tractor with a backhoe and front loader on it. How do I identify the tractor model, year as well as the attachments. She runs good but is in dire need of some maintenance. I don't know what seals for the cylinders to buy or where to buy them or how to really find any parts. Any pointers would be great!

Thanks,
George

Welcome to the forum. Pictures & serial number would help identify it for you.

Is there a serial number plate? If so it might also include the model number. Someone here might be able to determine date of manufacture from the serial number.

Pictures would help, can tell you a tractors year range but not the exact year on most models.

Thank you! Sorry I didn't respond sooner. For one reason or another, I haven't been receiving updates.
I was able to contact the previous owner and he gave me a parts / service manual. She's a 1984 B 1630. Local shop wanted $250.00 to rebuild the top cylinder on the backhoe . I'm on kind of a right budget, so I had them order the seals etc and I'm going to try my hand at rebuilding it myself. I've already disassembled. Hopefully it goes back together as easily as it came apart!

Your data plate identifies your tractor as a B7100HST-D. You said the PO told you that it is a B1630? Something does not seem right.

Check to see if your tractor serial number falls in one of these ranges.

B7100HST Serial Numbers:
Location: Clutch housing, left side
1980: 10157
1981: 11035
1982: 13305
1983: 51426
1984: 53433
1991: 63826
1992: 65176
1993: 68005
1994: 71302

Also, here is a link to a site that has information on your tractor.

Thank you! I think I'm seeing BH7100HD53271 stamped in the casting just below the ID plate. I'll check out that link. Thanks!

Looks like 1630 refers to the model of the Front End Loader.

Yup, it definitely has BH7100 on the actual tractor. And the K 1630 is on a decal located on the front end loader.

Ok two things that will help:
Go to Kubota.com, parts, illustrated parts list, agree to terms, then search for your model B7100. Don't be more specific than that. Then you will get a whole list of different B7100 tractors. By some or all of them will be "local options" select that and you will see all of the optional equipment that fit the tractor. Select one and then select open to see a parts list for that equipment.

To see parts list for your tractor just get back to the list and then select open and then select the area of the tractor you are interested in - like engine, fuel system....

When looking for parts it may be necessary to know serial number to get the correct part. They will often list the same item number several times for different serial numbers so look for your serial number series to find correct parts.

Second order from local dealer to save shipping if your not in a hurry or if ordering large parts. If no local dealer use Messicks, Coleman, Golden Eagle for supplier.

IMHO Price compare FIRST between dealer and one of the web sell sites listed above. Then decide where to order.
