I have an old L2600 with a V1500 engine (very similar to L285) and have now just about sussed out all its ins and outs (operator and service manual yet to be found). The only thing I cant work out is where the oil level indicator is for the transmission. The oil filler is basically between my legs when I sit on the tractor. But taking the oil filler cap of reveals no dipstick. There's no sight glass or anything else. all I can think is there must be a bolt that you unscrew and you fill till it runs out of the hole.
Can anyone help?
