Hello,
I am rebuilding the gearbox on my Kubota RC60-82H midmount 60" mower deck. My question is, is there a torque spec to preload the verticle shaft spindle bearings? I "hopefully" attached two pictures of the gearbox showing the mechanical breakdown. I circled item #24. I wanted to know if there is a torque spec for this small bolt. If there is, is the torque spec. measured in inch pounds or foot pounds?

Thank you in advance for your help,

If I was doing it - at a quick glance it appears there is no preload on the bearings, they're just captured between 2 circlips, the bearing against the step in the shaft, just use standard torque specs published for the size and grade of bolt. A drop of loctite or similar on the thread.
Edit: The picture shows plain roller bearing, not tapered, which I expect is correct.
