I have a 2000 BX 2200 with starting problem. When I turn key to start engine starts fine, but when I let go of key it shuts off. Upon checking the fuses the 20 amp solenoid was burned out. I replaced it and engine did same thing and and blew out fuse again. Talked to local Kubota in Doylestown,Pa and he advised very likely the fuel solenoid. Found the correct part($143) and replaced it. Same thing occured and same fuse blew out again.
I know there are other relays, neutral switch, etc. Appears to be electrical in nature.
Can someone help?

I think the blown fuse is telling you the key switch is failed such that when "on" it is actually still feeding "start" power to solenoid circuit.

Try pulling the switch and bench testing.

Could also be a shorted wire in the "start" circuit to solenoid.

If the Kubota dealer misdiagnosed the problem and you later solve it I'd go back to the dealer for at least a partial adjustment of what you paid for the unneeded part. Sounds like the person you talked with was a parts-plugger instead of a thoughtful problem solver.

Please post back and advise how resolved.
