I have been practicing changing from FEL to snow blade. How do you know if it is on completely? It seems like the pin does not go into the slot a long way but the cam mechanism locks. Is there any way to screw this up or if its in its in?

If the pins are in the hole and the levers lock down then it's on as good as it gets.... Unless something was made wrong with the SSQA plate. ;)

The pins are wedge shaped and only go down till they hit both sides. If they are doing that you are good.

if the pins go over center and lock your good. if for some reason there was any misalignment between the plate and the hitch the springs on the pins will tighten up when you use it.

I guess if anything was screwed up it would be obvious, the metal parts seem to be tight to each other and the levers locked. When the guy delivered it we had a bit of an issue changing FEL and blade but it was obvious, the levers did not match up and would not lock. I thought the pins went in farther but after looking at it this morning there is no way they could. Just the pangs of getting familiar with implements, better than waiting until it is 50 below and 50 mph winds. Modified my chains to fit tight on front wheels and they turned out great, actually had to remove a few links. Advantage that I already see using front chains is that you can lift the front up with the FEL to put them on without having to move the tractor.
