I have an L2601 tractor. The three point lift is having a very hard time even raising a 1 bottom plow and is making a whining noise. I have looked all over that tractor and can not find a place to add hydraulic oil anywhere. I checked the transmission and it has plenty of 80/90 in it. Does anyone know where to add hydraulic oil to get the lift to go up?

Thanks in advance for the help!!!!

I only see one place there and that has 80w90 in it. Is that one place for the transmission, rearend, and lift?

Thanks for the reply by the way.

Vic,
I looked all over for that tear drop panel and couldnt find one...I did however notice while I was looking that there was a tube from the bottom of the transmission that went to a cylindrical housing and then back to the top of the transmission where the adjuster knob for how fast the lift drops. Turns out it has an external filter. You were right though...it was CAKED in crap. I pulled it out and cleaned it up and put it back in with new oil and it works like new. I would have never found that without your help. Thanks a million. Oh by the way just in case you ever run into that again..the external filter is on the right side of the engine just where the engine and tranny bolt together. Let me know if you want I will post a pic for you to reference.:D
