I have a 2003 BX 1800. Metal hood, deck(rear body/fenders), everything except grille. I was at my Boss' house and he has an 09 BX1860. It is all plastic body panels. The deck where you step broke early on, covered under warranty. The hood side panels are broke. When did they switch to plastic body panels and are they still produced this way?

My 2013 BX 1860 is all steel, the only thing that is plastic is the engine surround. The only reason for that being plastic is that the sides and front are all one piece and its ment to pull off easy for service. If it was metal it would be super heavy. The fenders, floor and hood are all steel.

My bx2350 is plastic. I believe the bx24 series is plastic. It has a few cracks, in the fender from a previous owner.
