Different load range options for front tires on a construction TLB, my tractor happens to be an L39, but what are other user's running on similar size TLB's.
7000 lb machine, 2500 lb loader capacity. 6 ply would be at the max capacity at recommended pressure.
Is a good brand tire able to handle over the rated capacity on occasional home use.
I don't mind spending a few dollars extra for the 8 ply but overkill is foolish for a homeowner machine; we almost never work them like a rental. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the machine came with 6 ply load range C.

Get 10 ply if you can, especially for your machine.

Low plys arent designed to handle the weight of a fully loaded TLB, will bulge under load and put more stress on the steering and drive components because they will be harder to turn and roll.

6 plys are designed for lawn tractors and give a smoother ride. 10ply will take more abuse and are more damage resistant.

Consulted with the wholegoods price list and they don't show the ply rating for the front. It is only listed for the rear (4 ply).

Copied from wholegoods:
Front Tire (ALR8876) 27 x 10.50 - 15 R4 IND
Rear Tire (ALR8877) 15 - 19.5 R4, 4-Ply IND

Checked the part number for the tire only (32751-50530) and it didn't list the ply rating either.

The complete tire/wheel assembly was $231 in the 2015 price list. I bet it is very close to the same price today. No ply rating indicated.

According to Messick's the tire alone (32751-50530) is $237.83.

I'm guessing you can find better tire prices in the open market, but wanted to show you what to info wheel/tire price (approx $231) in the event your wheel are suspect.

Using SimpeTire.com the price difference is small between 6 & 8 ply. These seem to be the most common ply rating with 4 being an oddball.
Carlisle Trac Chief 6 ply $153.99
Carlisle Trac Chief 8 ply $167.92

If the stock tires were Titans they did come in both 4 and 6 ply.

FWIW I've bought tires from tires4that.com before with good results (price, free shipping, quick delivery and newer tire date codes).

CARLISLE TRAC CHIEF TL 8 ply $134.44 (Load rating 3740 lbs)

Sorry I couldn't confirm the stock ply rating, but I tried. Hopefully some of the info will be of value.

Good luck and let us know what you buy.

In researching this size tires for the OP, I didn't run across any 10ply tires. They may exist, but I didn't see any. Typically 4, 6 and 8 with many 4 ply showing as obsolete.

I checked wholegoods and they listed 6 ply. Here's copied line from March 2015 for L39 TLB. Front 27 x 10.50 - 15 R4 6 PLY. I got an inquiry into Carlisle re 6 or 8 ply for occasional full load rating use. I'll post reply.

Got reply from Carlisle. 6 ply @ Max 45 psi is 5240#. Can go 10% over psi and capacity but not recommended for continuous use. Consult dealer for recommended tire.
Off brand tires have lower ratings with same ply.

Dealer said comes with 6. With correct ballast (backhoe 1700#) there's only 1500-1800# weight on fr axle; scale doesn't lie. Leaves about 3500# loader capacity. Plenty!!
An 8 or 10 ply needs max inflation for higher capacity.
Cuts, chunking and punctures are related to the working environment and operation.
This tractor has 1400 hrs in rocky environment with original tires so may go with 8 but probably stick with 6 because easier to install.
Reason why backhoes bounce at front when going down the street - little weight compared to rear.
I can easily lift the front tires off the ground when loader is Detached and backhoe is Attached on my B2910.
Carlisle 6 - $97,. 8 - $129 Amazon
If anyone knows of cheaper price???

Yes I'll mount myself, I have tire spoons and a bead breaker.
RE: rating, I checked again on Amazon and 6 ply Carlisle mod. #51S3H7 has load range C =2610#
mod. #560369 is 8 ply load range D=3700#.

Somewhat inexperienced with these things so I usually go by what the manufacturer or dealer recommends. (6 ply)
Any first hand advice you can give me would be appreciated. I have no prob. spending extra $$. I'll bring tires to shop to dismount/mount if I can't break bead. Thks for any help.

When my tires wear out, I usually go up one step in rating. Seems like the higher ratings are less prone to damage, but maybe this is just a placebo effect. I do like the tires not squishing as much when carrying items in the loader, especially in uneven terrain.

Then again if you cut a 6 ply tire, the $64 savings over the 8 ply could go towards a new tire.

Never mounted 8 ply but did 6 with a little bit of a struggle but those were smaller at 14" these are 15" which might be easier.

Will go with 8, makes sense. Can keep them at 50 psi all the time. tiresShipped2you.com sells 27/10.5-15 Carlisle trac chief 8 ply for $120.38 each.
