Want 2 trade Harley & BX for BModel tractor

Gotta hope for some forgiveness from coachgeo and Wolfman on this one.

The Mrs. was surprised when I said I need to sell my Harley.

2005 Dyna Superglide FXDI. Very low miles, fuel injected 88 cu. in. 5- speed with several common Harley upgrades. Very well maintained.

While my intent is to sell outright at $7,500, I would entertain a trade up to a B series, possibly in combination with my BX2360/FEL/BX2750D Snowblower/MMM. I would need to have the same attachments on the B when done.

You guys know the how the saga goes.

Haven't been that motivated to ride lately, and it just sits, taking up space.

Also had a couple buds go for unplanned helicopter rides.

I never thought I'd so much fun going so slow on my Kubota!

D2 - true. I'm in my 50's now, and at 6'4", 36" long pants and 240 lbs, there isn't a bike made that fits me comfortably.

I've ridden all sorts of them, and besides dirt bikes, the best were the early crotch rockets in the 1980's - kept my back straight and had a forward lean. All bikes give me leg cramps, so those weren't unusual to the 'rockets.

Any bike with center pegs, I could stand up to help cramps. Never went to forward controls on the Harley because of this. It looked funny with this big guy standing up going 60 mph down the road. Couldn't stand well on the rocket bikes - because the pegs were toward the back, and handlebars were real short.

I've gone 140 mph on 2-lane country roads a lot - even had my Harley up to 80, but not going to happen again!

I am 68 and have faced the same wall. Knees and back need a steroid zerk and back surgery - well another story. Sold 4 of 5 bikes this year but kept the R1200RT. Replaced the 4 with a new FJ09 which is more to my level in life. Some luck soul with buy my R1200 next year but I will stay in the wind on the FJ as long as can. 6 day rides have been replaced with 6 hour rides. Apologies for sliding somewhat off topic.

That's okay in my book. See, the FJ is similar to the Fazer I had many years ago, but much taller. It does help us with older bodies, and sporty too!!

I never was one for even a 6-hour ride. I wanted to raise hell for an hour or two, and get me off the thing.

Last couple years, I told people I have a 650 pound moped, but MUCH LOUDER!!!!

Still a young kid in that respect!

LOL. Hit a nerve. I am looking for a moped for a Winter Goof project. Tomorrow going to look at a 1964 BMW R2 with a 40's Binder sidecar. A true shed find. Been sitting for years but in dry environment. Three wheels is much easier on old knees. The FJ is fun. Goes like a scalded cat but equally happy in docile old guy mode.

Don't know much about those things, but some of them are pretty spooky fast and powerful now-a-days!!

With a Side by Side, if you do something foolish, the Mrs. can give you the "Evil Eye"!!

She can't do that on a motorcycle!!

I see Polaris has 3-wheel motorcycle/dune buggy thingies now. Pretty cool, but the Evil Eye factor is a strike against them in my book!

Wow - you think that '64 R2 plus sidecar is going to weigh probably 400 pounds more than your FJ?

"Scalded cat" won't be part of the description for that buggy!!

But man, what a neat find!! It REALLY would make a cool moped!!
