Back in around '07 I calculated the yards of snow in my back yard at like 450 yards then sold it on ebay to a high bidder in California. They paid me $.48 but never came to pick it up

It's something I saw online and thought it might be entertaining. It's actually all screwed up. Whoever photo chopped it didn't know much about a combine.

The combine is going one way and the truck is facing the wrong way while the combine is unloading, and the combine is still moving. So the truck driver has to back up to stay under the chute.

But the thought is humorous because of THIS winter.

One winter I was bored and just for kicks I listed a full square bale of alfalfa hay on Flea-Bay and sold an entire square bale to some lady in Washington, DC for her hamsters for $150.00 shipping not included. If I remember the shipping was another 40 bucks.

If I could sell every square bale of hay I make for 150 bucks each, I wouldn't be posting this, I'd be in some tropical paradise on my yacht with lovely and scantly clad lasses waiting on me hand and foot.

I swear there is a sucker born everyday.

So how do you ship a bale of hay? Tie a tag to the twine and take to post office?

Actually, I wrapped it in brown manila shipping paper and sent it USPS First Class. UPS was twice the cost (if I remember correctly that is).

USPS has a 70 pound max weight limit and again, if I remember correctly, the bale weighed about 55 pounds.

I have some really nice alfalfa squares in the barn if anyone wants a bale..... or should I say has 150 bucks for one.....

You can find folks who sell Hedge Apples, the seed of Osage Orange trees. They make many claims about them, like they keep bugs out of your basement!

Sometimes you can find really creative folks selling just the seeds, 25 for a dollar. There are about a kazillion seeds in a hedge apple, and a kazillion hedge apple on a tree, so if one can find the buyers you could do well.

They're easy to mail, just put them in a envelope. For the apple, if it's green it's about a hard as a softball, and the same size. No special wrapping needed. Just put it in a box, oh one might wrap it in special paper to indicate it's precious value to the buyer!
