If you have the alternator off, quite often they can match them up at the auto parts store. Sometimes they are cheaper then buying from Kubota. You can also check with an alternator and starter rebuilder. They can usually hook you up as well, either rebuilding your current one or supplying you with a remanned one :)

I usually send mine in for a rebuild, but then I've used the same company for years at work. And they have special pricing for the employees of the companies they deal with.

I have the old one off. part # is 021000-2840. Been trying to find the equivalent replacement online. May take it to Kubota dealer 20 miles from here and see if they have one. Have read quite a bit about local Kubota dealers not wanting to deal with Grey Market tractors, so not sure if its worth the trip or not?

As long as you use a model for a north American equivalent when ordering parts, your fine with going to the dealer. Or get the part number off from kubota.com for the north American model and just order using the part number.

If you use L2201, the answer will be sorry, can't help yo. This is per there franchising agreement.

On eBay, if you search for "alternator for Kubota L2201" the second listing that pops up is an alternator for the L1501, L1801, and L2201 for $132 plus $15 For shipping ;)
