So what was your first car that you bought and paid for yourself. I'm going to lower the tone here before it even starts:
In the UK, a Citroën Dyane 6 tested by the British The Motor magazine in July 1969 had a top speed of 68.6 mph (110.4 km/h) and could accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 30.8 seconds. An overall fuel consumption of 36.0 miles per imperial gallon (7.8 L/100 km; 30.0 mpg***8209;US) was recorded, although when driven gently the Dyane managed a class leading 51.0 miles per imperial gallon (5.54 L/100 km; 42.5 mpg***8209;US)

1979 Citroen Dyane that I bought off my sister. It came with a screwdriver to strip the carb and a bigger screwdriver to pry the brakes off the driveshaft.
Loved it. Ruined my driving until I got the SAAB 2.3 turbo. I soon realised that not every car should be kept around the redline when you are on a limited budget

1988 Pontiac Sunbird Safari station wagon. It had flip up headlights like the SE version. Ooooh!

My Dad bought it new in ‘88, my sis got it in ‘94 and I got it in ‘96 for $400. Then I sold it to my uncle, he sold it back to my sister, then she traded it in at a dealer to lease a Sentra.

Then I had a Blazer, Shadow, Cavalier Z24, Cirrus, Escape, Protège, Ion, Nitro, Ram.

1957 Ford Fairlane 2 door hardtop, 292 and a 3 on the tree. I went in the service and Lil Bro tried to teach Lil Sis to drive it. It got scraped before I ever got home for my first leave,, still a bit bitter about that:mad:

First car was a 1980 Dodge Omni, it was worn out when I got it. Transmission gave up after bout a year and cost to repalce was more than it was worth, off to the car graveyard it went.

Then we bought a 1980 CJ5 it had trees growing above the roll bar when we picked it up. It was a good vehicle for the next 4 years, put some tires on it bought a new soft top and just drove it.

The fist vehicle I paid for was a 1990 S10 with the 4.3 in it nice truck. Drove it 2 years and a guy pulled out in front of me and totaled it.

Bought a 1992 Toyota SR5 and drove it for 243K before a lady pulled out again in front of me and she was done, gave me 4500.00 for it and bought a used 2011 Tundra.

Sold it and got a 2012 Tundra, still driving it rolled over 78K today.

1964 Impala SS 283 3 speed on the column, but did have bucket seats. 2nd was 1968 GTO 400 4bbl. his and hers automatic on the floor. Thank God I and others lived through it.

My first car was a 65 Chevy Belair. 2 speed auto with a 250 straight 6. Bought several beaters from a rusted out 85 Mazda b2000, 83 Chevy sport side with 3 speed on the column that leaked oil every where, then a beat up Toyota Corolla that looked like the murf mobile from Wayne's world. Then onto an older Chevy sedan, Volkswagen fox, little nissan pick up, then ford ranger, then isuzu amigo, F150, and finally my Sierra 1500 and Wrangler unlimited.

1965 OLDS Cutlass / F-85 one heck of a killer find, $350
Had friends that worked for Hurst Olds, so I got some great parts cheap.
Promptly ripped out the 330 and 2 speed power glide, put in a 500+ HP 495 (stroked and built 455), a fully built turbo 400 out of a Cadillac (extra bearings in the tail shaft), 12 bolt full posi, disk brakes and a ton of other fun things.
I owned and raced that car for 7 years, last time I drove it it was blown and pushing 750+ HP and way too fast, sold it for my own good. :D

After a slew of motorcycles, my first vehicle with 4 wheels was a stock '69 Toyota Landcruiser hardtop.
My first car was a '69 Ford Mustang Mach 1 with the very rare 390 HO, rated at 325hp, (for insurance purposes) that actually put out 425+. Probably the dumbest thing I ever did was to sell that car. Hard on tires, nearly impossible to change plugs, but what a rocket. Holley spreadbore with 7/8" diameter primaries, 2 7/8" diameter secondaries, beefed C6 auto, 17mpg, until you punched it, then 4mpg. Paid $1800. Hate to think what that car would be worth today.:(

Never really had a car, first truck was 78 Ford step side with 302, it was from up north and rusted bad. Got it for 700.00

My first car was a 1961 Ford Falcon. After that was a 1963 Ford Thunderbird, then a 1961 Chevy Impala Convertible with a 283 CID V-8, 3 on the tree and an overdrive unit behind the tranny. Then came Army service and I have never had anything but sensible cars an trucks since then.

'69 Torino GT Coupe 351 Windsor with a 4spd manual. It was 3 years old and had 97,000 mi on it. Clutch was toast. Drove it for 36,000 mi in 3 years at school.

First car was a 69 Camaro, nothing special motor wise just a 250 6 cylinder however I was only seventeen and the fun I had in that car I'll never forget.

First car was a 1956 2 door Chevy with a bored out 283 and corvette transmission. Very fast but used/leaked oil which I hated so I sold it 6 weeks after I bought it. Paid $200 for it and sold it for $350, came out okay but today one of those restored would be $$$$$$$$.

First car was a 1969 Oldsmobile Toronado. 455 4bbl. First car I ever saw with a flat floor front and back. Front wheel drive. I was hooked. Had a 67, 68, 71, 74, 75, and 77XS. Also a 71, and 77 Cadillac Eldorado. 71 was 500 cubic inches, (8.2 liter). The Mrs came in second in the Demolition Derby with that one. Got stuck on a bumper and couldn't keep moving to make a hit. Drove it up on the trailer for the trip to the scrap yard and off when we got there.

First car was a 54 ford flathead, what a dog! Being a teenager in the sixties I had a few muscle cars, too bad I don’t own any today. Guess the Kubota will have to do.

Spot on. So far it is as good as the quad with waaay more pulling power. Down side is, if it does sink, we wont be able to lift it up with our hands :D

Loving these cars. I knew there would be some beauties.
