B2601 mower deck park?

I will be taking delivery of my new B2601 next week. One thing the salesman told me is the mower deck and 3 point lower at the same time. On my BX2230 you could put the deck at the TOP position and it would stay up while the 3 point lowered. Does anyone know if the salesman is correct. I hoping it isnt.

you will have an adjustment knob, when you raise the mower deck up all the way and adjust that knob it will hold the deck up even if you lower the tph.

My BX2230 had that knob. I was looking at the B2601 today and there was no such knob. Only the 3pt speed adjust knob. The new tractor has the the position control valve with a graduated scale by the 3pt lever. That is how you set your cutting height I was told.

it has i'm sure a deck cutting height adjustment.
all the way up will hold the deck up even with the tph down.
that's how my b2301 works anyway.

On my B2301 there is an adjustment knob but I have also noticed that you only need to lower the arms slightly to get the mower all the way down. The position control lever doesn't need to be completely lowered.

The cutting deck is not installed yet so im wondering if the adjustment dial comes with the deck itself.....thanks JPF...i checked the pics in the brochure and it does show a height adjust dial.

well I never thought about that, without a mower deck there wouldn't be any need for a hight adjusting knob, so maybe it is installed along with the deck itself?
my mower deck was installed before I seen the tractor so I don't know?

My b2601 with the 60” deck has the adjusting knob. When I turn the knob to the “top” position it locks the deck and I can raise or lower the 3pt independent of the mower deck

My 2601 operates the same way. Raise the deck full up and turn the knob to "top". I greased the mechanism to make the knob turn easy.

All b2601 are a suspended deck so the mower WILL have its own knob to select cutting heights. Your salesman may have confused the 2601 with the 2650. The 2650 are ground following decks which work off the 3point hitch.

I think I was panicking to soon. Thanks everyone......the salesman should have known this. I think I will tell him that he should be a little more knowledgeable about what he sells.
