Buying a 1997 L4200

Hello all. I’m a new member, but I’ve owned an L245DT for 15 years. It’s been a great little tractor, but it’s time for something bigger. I need something won’t get so tippy when moving big logs around. I’m going to trade for a 1997 L4200 with 1500 hours. Asking price is 12,500 and the dealer is giving me 5,500 for my 245. I feel like it’s a great deal. I have no idea what the capacity on my little loader is, but I’m sure the LA680 loader is worlds above. I may still come across a log for my mill that’s too big, but I will be able to drag it if need be. I also want this tractor to be able brush hog around the place and fit in between trees. Does this all seem reasonable to you all? Thanks, Bill.

Definitely will look into the filled tires. I assume any tractor dealer can do that.

I’m gonna look into filling myself and wheel weights.
