I replaced that same piece ---- it was on a B7100 however.

I am wondering if they are the same part? Gonna bet it is not! (Looking at it closer - no where near same part!)

As I remember it was about 200 some bucks for the whole nine yards, and only 40 something with shipping for the plate/bracket.

Looking that "dyno" up .....that 980+ bucks ...... holy shythhhh ( Do your best John Belushi imitation -animal house)

What is wrong with yours?

Hi 85 Hokie, The hose connection split so leaking water. May have to try and get it repaired.

As mentioned part #: 66601-82500

that part(s) is gold and sterling silver plated!:)

Again I ask - what is wrong with the bracket itself?;):) Unless missing, I would look at how to repair, even if it seems impossible to repair!;)
Thanks for the link 85Hokie, $974 makes trying to get it repaired route one in the first instance although I don't need the dynamo!

If the neck is "split" then take it to a welder - have them TIG it.... if it cost $30 bucks or even $50......money well spent!:D:)

Bob,

can you shoot us a picture?

Might be a way to add a piece of aluminum piece to it;)

Yo Bob, mine isn't as bad as that but wil need taking off the engine for serious work. Hmm, dismantling off the engine is likely to create other issues (sheared studs, completely knacked unit) so having a replacement would be reassuring. Problem seems that the replacement part comes with the dynamo and other sundries hence the $980 price tag. And hey ho these parts are rarer than warm rocking horse poo! Looking for the B6000 graveyard first methinks. Good luck with yours. I have heard that welding can be undertaken on the alloy chassis which is the problem. Tip to B6000 owners 'do not treat coolant loss as a H2O topping up exercise as this leads to corrosion of this vip component and either kills your little beast or severely damages you wallet.
