Hello folks, newby here to Kubotas, as well as this site, have a issue with the fel not being able to lift the front end of the l3010, I have checked several threads here, its a Husco single joy stick, I pulled the valve off the tractor and took off the bottom cover ( up down valve) and found that it looks like someone has had it appart prior, the part that fits over the ball bearings is scored on the inside, as well as black stained and pitted on the outside, where it appears someone tried to clean it up some. Dose this sound like a easy fix or am I into a horror story,

thanks ahead
bic

That bottom section with springs/balls will rust and cause grief. Usually it prevents limit of travel of the valve. By moving lever slightly forward will it lift wheels?if lever goes far enough, it goes to float position, and wont lift wheels.

Are you sure that the lift rams aren't fully retracted? Try tilting the bucket down first then try lifting the front end.

Welcome to the forum bic. How long have you owned the L3010? Was this problem there from the beginning?

Yes,I checked the Rams and rolled the bucket over so the cutting
Edge of the bucket is on the ground, good point though.
Thanks for the welcome Mickeyd, bought the tractor last week, I hate to say it but I travelled close to 9 hours in on nasty roads, when I got to the location I asked the owner to start things up, and went through the hydraulics 3ph worked like a champ, front bucket was a bit slow, and when asked to roll the bucket and lower the fel it didn't lift more than a inch, I asked him about this and he said he just started it and the hydraulics were cold......and I "fel" for it.

First thing I would do is a fluid and filter change, a clogged filter or bad fluid can make all the difference. ;)

What did you do?
Or should I say what did you take apart and not put back in right? :p
Explain further. ;)

Well, I took the Husco control valve off to see if there was corrosion inside, which I thought may be part of my problem with the weak fel. I removed the up down side and checked the spring ,ball bearings etc. it appeared to have been done already by the prior owner. So I didn't (thank goodness) take the other side apart, reassembled.....apparently incorrectly, fel worked as it did prior but no float position.

Getting ball bearings in correctly can be a little bit of a trick, was 6 months ago i had one apart. But a ball out of position will cause float to not work.it is a bit of an act but can be done on tractor, but i would only attempt it inside on a clean floor. I tend to drop stuff. A lot.

Ok need to verify several things.
Are you 100% sure that you have a LA482? Your model of tractor should have a LA481 loader.
Also need the serial # of the loader.
There is 3 different valves for the LA482 loader and 2 different valves for that one.
A picture of the Valve or the valve model # would be great?

thanks for getting back so quickly gents, thats what I was thinking (hopeing) all it was, a ball bearing may have slipped out of place, the decal on the side says LA482 and the plate on the left side of fel says Model LA482 serial # 14720
the stamped plate on the control valve reads as:
A02A0243 05
7J24061011
9210-B3 F
Thanks again guys for the help

There are usually 4 steel balls about 3/16" dia. that are spaced 90deg apart in a sleeve that is required to make the detent function.

When you take the valve apart the balls may fall out. (they fit into a hole not as large as they are.) Clean then and use some grease to hold them in place when reinstalling.
