Just bought a new 2017 B2650 & I have 40 acres with very hilly terrain & it's in the woods. I'm always hauling out large trees & I was curious if the new B2650 can handle 3" thick rear wheel spacers for the added stability & if those are too big what's the thickest I can use without putting too much stress on the axel wheel hubs?

Kubota recommends wheel spacers about 1.5 inches for the 2650. You would be in uncharted territory with 3". Could be fine, but no telling what the safety margin for those parts is. There have been folks running 3 " wheel spacers, but not sure the models or what they were using them for that might stress the axle. You could try asking the Kubota customer satisfaction email service, although they could play it safe and tell you 1.5.

Thx for your input, I've 2" spacers on my BX25 & never had any troubles but wanted to go out to 3" on the B2650 because the BX was still a little tippy even with the 2" spacers on the terrain I'm trying to navigate. So, before I spend the money on any spacers I want to make sure I get biggest that's suitable for the B2650 without any damaging risks...

Ok, 4" rear spacers on a B3350 that is even heavier but on the same chassis/ frame/ axle. Food for thought. But, for my peace of mind, I just wish I could get a definitive answer that some one knows for certain that the tractor can handle it & it won't void the warranty...

If you think a BX25 is a little tipping on whatever you are driving on, a B2650 is going to make you feel like your on a roller coaster ride no matter how wide you make it.
The center of gravity on a B is even higher than a BX.

1 inch or even 2 Inches is not going to make that much of a difference in it's real stability.

I agree that the center of gravity is going to be considerably higher than my BX changing the dynamic of how the machine will operate from what I'm used to. But, I'd much rather take may chances with wheel spacers as wide as the machines rear axle can take rather then taking my chances & temping fate having non at all...

I have 4" spacers on my B3350 they were
installed by a kubota dealership it makes the tractor very stable, B3350 (sister tractor) is about the same as a B2650 just a few more horses, but I understand your question, have you talked with Kubota dealership ? They should give you a answer......forgot to say I have a CAB with loaded tires all around was installed by my Kubota dealer, tractor is very strong and stable.

My knee jerk is 3" is too much, but Ive been wrong before... Have you loaded the rears? Makes a huge difference. I feel the B2650, while a touch larger than mine, is still too narrow overall. Add the cab, my slopes and it would be nerve racking...

Ok, yeah they're pretty much the same other then weight & horses... Is that 2" per side or 4" per side on your spacers?

I just bought a B2650HSTC and am thinking about doing the same thing. If you go on kubotas website and do a build on a 2650 it has a option of wheel spacers but how wide they are it doesn't say. I was also going to load the rear tires but im not sure I want to right away due to the fact that I will have a newly seeded yard this spring and would like to keep the weight down for a year or two till it gets established better. I know there are a lot of guys on here running spacers and I want to say they are either 3 or 4 inch. Some of them do it for tire chain clearance I believe but it would help on slopes too. Ive mowed ditches for the county for many years so I'm very comfortable on slopes but with that narrow frame and cab on top I'm thinking I'm going to need to do something.

Kubota spacers for the 2650 are 1 5/8"

I put 4" per side spacers on my BX24 so I could straddle/clean out a previously made trench that had partially collapsed/filled in. This widened the space between the rear tires so that I wouldn't risk a further cave in.
I removed the spacers when that job was done, so as not to stress the transaxle with my normal work on rough ground.
Mind you, the tractor was super stable with that extra width. :D
