Ok still a year going here and trying to decide which dang grapple why does there have to be so made different ones .

Started thinking I wanted the Titan 72" weigh'n at 700 pounds . But have about decided that it doesn't have long enough lower tines . And that I mite have to lengthen them .

Now I think I like these which look to be the same there made with the same metal and what not . Just ones about $300 cheaper over all .

There 74" only one has a weight 900 pounds seem heavy . So my worry is the weight .

The first two pics are from one dealer and its pics of there 66" Which has 6 tines there 74" does have 7 tines just like the other . And the other three is from another .

Look to be the same . Design and everything .

This rake style what I'm 100% sure I want .. Any thought on the weight on the m7040 . About a 200 pound difference.
The m7040 lift is 2300# or 2500# depending on which position its in .
Is a 900# grapple losing to much payload pick up.
Here's link to there 84"

My grapple is the same width as the tractor and i still end end with plenty of stuff sticking out both ends of the grapple. Your looking at grapples that are a foot wider than your tractor, imho that just runs up the price and weight and limits your maneuverability.

I like the extra bottom slats on my EA wicked grapple it all but eliminates any manual rake work.

When I was looking for a grapple I considered many factors. Construction of the grapple, weight/net payload. and what I was going to be using it for. So most things I pick up don't even come close to the limits of my Kubota. then the heavier stuff I just use it smarter. It all depends on what you are doing with it the 200 #s should not hurt you all that much unless you are moving huge heavy logs, large boulders, or chunks of concrete. I did have to modify my 72" Titan grapple where the locking pins of the QA go into the grapple to make a tighter fit. The ultimate reason I purchased the one I did was price. Everything can break so I don't feel as bad when I break something that cost me 1500 verses something that is at least 2 time that.

How's that my tractors 6 feet and 6" or so wide . The bucket that came with the tractor is 72" and I'm looking at 72" and 74" grapples . The one I just posted the link to there wide one because the don't have there 74 " on eBay right now .
The price of the others that ain't Titan are . Just right at or around $2000 . And the Titan in around $1500 .

I don't like the EA wicked style it's more bucket design and double lid that don't crimp down far enough . I like the rake style like I posted . If I was to buy one from EA it would be this one . But it doesn't open but to 36" where the ones I above open to 48" . And it's way light only 460 pounds .

Found a dealer close that carries WildKat stuff and there the maker of the grapple that posted above . Was quoted $1700 for the 74" over the phone so I'm going to go check them out in person since the dealer says he has a ton of them that just came in .

Well I ended up with this wildkat its not the extreme like I was planning to get . As the extreme seemed way to heavy duty and it sure looks super heavy look'n in person . And the dealer didn't get the 66" in on the truck and the 74" just looked way to much of a monster .

We didn't have a weight of the one I got so I have to call wildkat and find out . It's got to be way lighter than the extreme . But still looks more than plenty stout . I got it in a 72" as the next size smaller was 60" I felt it wasn't that much lighter .
Got to dark when I got home with it and to cold to put it on and play with .

Play'n with the grapple today .
Going to have to shim the quick hitch part up on the grapple has some slack . And get the hoses where they stay out the way . But over all going to be fun use'n it .

That looks like a real useful tool. I'll bet it would clean up my wood lot fast and give me some fun doing it.

I'm having a third function being installed on my loader as I type, while my tractor is back at the dealer for warranty work. I can't wait till I have enough money saved for a grapple.
