Now that's funny. After I made the above post I went to the thread to verify the Company's name in the ad and there was no ad in the box below and no black bar.

Same with this post, no ad below this post, no issue.

Ad is back. Black bar is back.
In between this post, (#42), and my previous post, (#41) is the "Sponsored Links" post, when the ad does not appear there the black bar is not on the right side.

Yup same here. I suggest we all boycott whatever the nasty substance is that they want us to use to "get a head start on head scab".

It's back again. Both times it's happened to me on the tablet, the same add has been showing in the center. Picture shows an old school time clock and is an advertisement for a fungicide

Yes sometimes they're there and some times not . Acuron Syngenta herbicide and the head scab airplane. Now in addition to the black bar, the ad will slide over the text of the next post in a smaller box. Obnoxious.

I looked into an ad blocker, but sometime in the next few weeks Chrome is going to change so that NO adblockers can be run on it, or so I heard. The whole thing is a bit of a pain.. yesterday it was a nuisance in the morning but was off for several hours in the evening.

Try using firefox. I use that one for both mobile and PC. I also use Adblock Plus for an ad blocker on all devices. It may also be helpful to try YesScript2 to block scripts. This one keeps pages from reloading and blocks any scrips that may be automatically run. This one take a little experimentation to find out if you want to use it. The default is full script blocking. The next level is partial script blocking and the third level is no blocking at at all. It is set per site and remembers the last setting for that site. It work excellent for my purposes.

Doing it again. Here's a picture of how it looks on the tablet. Has the same time clock and fungicide add.

Its not the actual ad that causes the issue, it's whatever software that runs the ads in that media format.
Here is the ad playing on my end while its acting up....

Well that's interesting, I've never seen that particular set of graphics at all. Same company, Syngenta, but i see talking plants for an herbicide ad, and an airplane taking off for head scab. Maybe they are targeted to specific growing regions?

No idea. But in my screenshot, you can see where the coding trails off to the right, and is what's causing the issue.

Between becoming a lifetime member and running AdBlock Plus, I eliminated having any of the adds come up.

Update: Syngenta herbicide ad is now behaving itself and staying in its box! Thank you NIW for working on the problem!

I tried Tap-a-Talk the other day on my Android. It blows big time. I'll stick with my Chrome Linux laptop.

I'm not a paid member and my ad block eliminates all the ads. Don't believe in paying to play, least not on a public forum.

Well I have not seen the half black screen for awhile. Looks like it resolved itself. Unless someone fixed it.
