I use to change both fuel filters on my bx1500 about every 100 hrs.
with out any problems accuring due to a clogged filter. At that time I
always refueled my kobota at the farm next door. A couple of years
ago the farm was sold. So I had to start getting my fuel in town.
Now about every 30 hrs the filters are done. Ive tried fuel from
three different locations same problem. Two other bx owners in the
area have the same problem. I use power source treatment in the
fuel is there anything else i can do. I don't mind changing filters twice
a year but three times a year that's a bit much.

Quick thought, you have tried 3 different places for fuel, have you changed the container you are getting the fuel in?

Also have you emptied your fuel tank on the tractor and flushed it. You may have gotten crap in the tank once and it just keeps working its way into the lines.

Replace your diesel fuel can with a correct yellow colored approved diesel fuel container and stop using the Power Source fuel Conditioner that you have been using entirely.
Service Dept. Vic.
I know the weather is getting warm but I wanted to ask before this thread gets any older. If we shouldn't be using Power Source Fuel Conditioner, when the weather gets cold next winter is there a product you would recommend to prevent fuel gelling? I just got a BX23 and my learning curve is real steep right now. I just got a new yellow container but at the same time I got a new grey bottle of the fuel conditioner so I guess I was half right.
Thanks for any advice.
