Has anyone here tried using this fellow's FEL plans? :
http://www.pf-engineering.com

I'm looking for FEL options for a soon-to-be-mine B7100HST.

This design is supposed to have a lift capacity of at least 500 lbs (depending on cylinder size, pressure, etc. up to 3,000 lbs) and can apparently function on the Kubota's 3gpm supply. Lift height 73" (must vary somewhat by tractor!). 42" to 54" bucket width.

Those numbers look similar to the Kubota 1630/1640/LA300. However, looking at his picture gallery, I get the impression that the construction is lighter and the tractors featured are smaller.

Opinions and comments are invited (especially if you have seen one of these in person!)

Has anyone here tried....
If you've not done so already also, explore the options for getting a FEL found in the IMPLEMENT forum sticky.

Yes, I've seen those but I'm just considering all options at this point. I have a reasonably equipped home metal working shop so making my own is an option. Especially when one considers the dollar difference and the cost of shipping things north!

Your my new best friend lol.... well nah.... you live to far away. Makes you a Friendemy :D

Your probably right though..... with a shop and the right tools plus your own labor you can probably build your own for less money. Then again hybrid might break even cost wise too..... as in buying a used one that you have to fabricate to fit yours.

Some day I'll have something like a workshop lol. So many projects in my head.

Friendemy? Does that mean we are on slightly better terms than a frenemy? I'm so confused by this new English. Now I know how my father felt...

Jeepers - I didn't know what either one met, but think I was guessin' right!:p

Man, I'm too old and too sheltered out here in the sticks.....;)

Torch - best of luck finding suitable plans!

May want to check out cadplans also. The had some decent machine plans too.
I also have a wide assortment of tools for various fabrication projects. Shop is too small, so personal fab time is limited to slow periods.
Working on another building to house my machining tools.
