Can't read hydraulic oil dip stick level - use dye?

I painted mine black with epoxy paint

Will this idea ruin the coil?

Might be able to run a die down the damaged thread, or use two nuts to increase the bite.

M7040 LA1153 cracking factory welds, loader

You never waded into the swamp just for fun? I enjoy lots of welding and this Kubota gives me lots of stuff to practice on. We also snapped the left side cast upright bracket twice in different spots and also the cab/step mount bracket cracked. Thankfully with a good after-use cleaning...

    Kubota Super utd fluid alternative

So, if buying orange oil gives you comfort, that's dandy. Kubota is kind of a prick for not sharing what its full on specification is for SUDT Super etc. I had to change oil in a couple machines, I bought two barrels of Mobilfluid LT For a hefty John Deere wheel loader and a couple other...

    Smoky L2501

I know its a low hour motor, but im wondering if the valve adjustment is in spec. Had a smoky M series and all that cleared up after adjusting the valves.

M7040 LA1153 cracking factory welds, loader

I'm also thinking pushing 7018 is doing it wrong, Hell I started welding with a cutting torch and coathangers, burned my way through a buzz box and moved steadily upwards, just retired my 1960's tig hi-freq adapter.

M7040 LA1153 cracking factory welds, loader

LOL, indeed!! I'm glad we keep the machines clean and painted, makes spotting cracks kinda easy, there isn't anything that can't be fixed and made even better.

B6100 drive shat u joint replacement

Well if it's like the M series, shift the tube back, drive the roll pin out of the collar, repeat on other side, move collars and drive shaft could be something wobbling

M7040 LA1153 cracking factory welds, loader

Well if that's true, that robot needs to be fired and crushed. All the welds on this piece are awful with stops and starts and really poor fusion. Really looks like a brand new welder on his first day after he left the accounting department.

M7040 LA1153 cracking factory welds, loader

Oh heat was good, five layers of beads. I feel I have good puddle visibility and can see any potential issues, pause, needle gun and a whip of the grinder, spark it up again, mig can be so fast that you might miss an issue. The factory had a nice bevel but zero bonding to the plate and a decent...

Both of those have applications far and wide. I'm super comfortable with stick myself especially for heavier welds.

M7040 LA1153 cracking factory welds, loader

Normally Id not fret too much but this weld had a lot of stops and starts. Gouging it out with a grinder I was surprised to see the weld area turning blue. We knew we had a problem, cleaning the area when carb cleaner squirted out the opposite side. Chased all the cracks back but the...

M7040 LA1153 cracking factory welds, loader

Have th LA1153 loader on an M7040, 3600 hours and the right side loader mount bracket is cracked all to heck. The factory bevels that 3/4 thick plate but the weld never penetrated the bevel for more than half the circle. Can split the layers with a pick after grinding it down. Lots and lots of...

B3200 Can I use Chains on my Front Tires.

Its quite possible the owners manual doesn't suggest chains on the front 1 for clearance issues and 2 for driveline longevity. The front drive shaft splines are really small and stripping the couplers is a possibility. They strip on their own in time and usually I'll replace both couplers...

    Does tire grooving really work?

I have the heavy duty tire groover, came with a handful of blades in different sizes as well as a siping head that holds three grooving blades upsidedown to make 6 sipe cuts per pass. On my plow truck, siping the rear tires increased breakaway torque by 2x at least, much happier when plowing.

    Adding ballast, easy as pie!

Indeed, it was certainly not 1.2 hours per tire even if I cooked a pizza in the middle. Even if I ditch the turf tires for R4 (eventually) it'll be easy to remove the goop and pump it into another tire. Thankfully the pump doesn't mind being reversed, rubber impeller

Kubota B2650, cab model. How to attach an take off an implement on the rear PTO

I have some seasonal PTO equipment, my only pointers would be to change the gearbox oil at the beginning of the season and also, typically the tractor end of the shaft will pull right out of the implement. do this and clean that slider, apply light grease and also make sure the locking...

Does that model offer a draft control? Keeping the control lever pivots is a big help on the larger M and L series.
