Welcome, sounds like a good setup; only recommendation is at least one rear remote for hydraulic top-link. I highly recommend fabricating an expanded metal grill guard and consider aftermarket light guards.

    BX2200 New Guy Questions

My first Kubota was a BX2200 with 60" mmm and ran it pegged out as per dealer. I bought a new BX2660 60" MMM and it had a tach, really hard to read, so I ran it as per manual, right at 3000. Now I just peg them out and back off just touch, close enough or me. They are great little machines.

    New Tractor break in

I'm on my 5th Kubota, still own four. Not unlike many others, stop short of running running full throttle. Don't baby it, but work it allowing for varying RPMs, even drop down to an idle once in a while, but your break in won't affect your work. I usually let a naturally aspirated tractor cool...

    Bent my FEL support arms

I have 2 BXs, L5740HSTC and M8540HDC. My advice for wht it's worth, save your money, straighten your old ones and don't "reinforce". They are the way they are for a reason, if defective design they would have been modified by now. Personally if I bend something I want to do it to the least...

    Hand Controls for a L2501

There is an old thread on TBN where a paraplegic equipped his foot control by attaching a rod to it, I saved the link to it for a while. It looked pretty simple.

    New Kubota L 3301DT

Pretty much rwhat they said. Slower moving models are gonna somewhere longer than the others and a tractor is considered new the day you buy it. Owning a tractor can be traumatic to some as you are going to have scratches, maybe a dent or two and they are not going to look new as long as a car...

    BX2660 HST Power

What he said, the further you push on your pedal the high your gearing for lack of a better word.

    HST vs Gear drive

I'm 70 and my brother is 67. I bought my first HST an L5030HSTC several years ago and loved it on spite of a lifetime of geared tractors. My brother was a dedicated gear guy and wouldn't use one of my HSTs. Even bought a new shuttle shift Kioti compact for his "retirement gift". My health went...

Rear Valves - Salesman's Got No Clue

I have an RCR2672 with the floating link, but really wish I had a floating valve as my land is pretty hilly. Yes, you will need it for your box scraper, but consider the one with hydraulic scraifiers, I sure like my HR3584.

    Grandl3560

I am a big fan of the Grand L. The New Hollan is really a rebadged LS, not a bad tractor but save money getting an LS, still not as good as Kubota. I have an L5740HSTC and had my brother putt some cb protection and it works great.

    BX Dually

A TBN member did several years ago, but I can't remember it, think he did it to work better in sand,

    Brush Guard Ideas

Looks really good, brother made one for my 5740, not fancy, but works well. Going to put one on our 8540 if he ever gets caught up.

    Grand L 40 outer roof

Been there, Kubota said it couldn't be repaired. My brother disagreed, so I had him fix it. I sure couldn't find a new or used one. Mice chewed up my AC evaporator; Kubota said they only sold the whole unit; close to $200 I think. Iwas told of a place whp custom made part, sent mine in and got...

    Tractor Step

Bully step works well and as mentioned Paul Short makes them. I've used the mower deck since 2003 and no issue; however getting on while the deck is off presents problems.

General guestion on Land Pride 2072 Rotary Cutter

Not in the 8 years of fairly heavy use. I have bent the shield metal a couple of time and repaired them with a hydraulic press.

    L3940 vs L3901

GL3940 has HST+ transmission, see You Tube. More comfortable seat with the ability to rotate a quarter turn left and right, adjustable steering wheel. Servo controlled cruise control. More weight. All I can think of now.

    No more broken tail lights...

Very nice job, I'm going to buy mine from Paul Short, I already have the ones for hazard lights. My wife will break a couple of sets a year.
