That’s the opposite of what happens to me (or used to when I had the mower deck) damn thing would not stay in the “open” position making it hard to connect the shaft when installing the deck. I think yours just needs a few taps with a hammer…or it’s gone bad.

    BX2680 fuel filter

Which one have you found? There’s one underneath near a silver canister (fuel pump) and there’s one on the “injector” side about halfway up the engine. (unless they’ve changed?)

Z421 60" deck with play in one spindle

Well, a greased bearing will last longer than an ungreased one in my opinion.

Z421 60" deck with play in one spindle

Many people do not balance their mower blades…like I said, never balanced for many years and nothing happened. I was, however careful to try and take the same amount of metal off of my blades…thats what ya call kentucky balancin’ 🤣🤣 NOW, I’m almost obsessed with balancing with the new zero...

Z421 60" deck with play in one spindle

I went years without balancing my BX25D 60” deck blades. Just sharpened them and put them back on…they were GREASEABLE with a zerk on each one. NO grease zerks on the new Z422-54, therefore, the need for balancing.

Yes, the “All American” system. I had used whatever I had in my tool drawer for flap wheels and I think they were a finer grit. I have a couple new ones for this season that are a heavier grit to try. Love the system! I have it permanently mounted on one of those old “movable” folding work...

Z421 60" deck with play in one spindle

That’s my balancer! Since I bought my Z422-54, I went maniac and bought the balancer and an American Sharpener system for the blades. Makes it a breeze to get the blades razor sharp (although I run the grinder lightly over the finished blade edge to “dull” it slightly. I’m in the “not razor...

Here for answers! I have the Z422 but no problems so far. It’s a ‘023 model and 54” deck. You reminded me to open the shed and get her serviced for the upcoming season! 😊

Sidekick RTV-XG850 backfiring / loss of power

Go for it! What kind of “deal” though? 🤣 I see a “lineup” of machines at my local dealer…haven’t stopped to see if what they are though.

Sidekick RTV-XG850 backfiring / loss of power

The dealer got his last digs in by swapping out the wheels…stuff like that pisses me off too. I would DEMAND the OEM wheels be put back on the new machine. What a low thing to do.

    Kubota RTV 520

Sure, a simple floor jack and some jack stands will raise it enough for getting under it. There are also mower lifts that you drive the front tires onto then, then jack the front up as high as you need.

Ha! I would not call this “normal” by any stretch…

Sidekick RTV-XG850 backfiring / loss of power

The Mule is high on my list! I just wondered if the 400 series had enough oomph to go up hills as my property is all steep out back where I would be taking it. All hardwood woods with leaf litter

Sidekick RTV-XG850 backfiring / loss of power

Does anyone think that ALL of the sidekicks manufactured have this problem? Or is it a specific model? I am looking to buy a sxs this year and there are some on marketplace etc. of course no one mentions this problem? Be that as it may, I don’t think I would take a chance on one.

If they go “all electric” we’re screwed.😡
