What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Took the loader off and spent a couple hours bush hogging the trails behind my place today. It sure is pretty this time of year here so I took a few photos.

    Need help with which implement

You might also want to look into a landscape rake. I have been really impressed with how well it works in gravel.

    Stingy on fuel

Years ago I worked at a golf course mowing greens. I had a little Jacobsen greens mower with a tiny Kubota diesel in it. It would take about three hours to get through the course and the boss wanted it full of fuel after every shift. I always had a chuckle because it only took about two liters...

    Hooking up PTO question

If you put the pto lever in the mid position it should release it and you will be able to turn it about 1/4 turn. That's how my b2650 is anyway.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Finally got to the first mowing of the season. Kicked up more dust than grass but it was good to do something different for a change.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Yep. That's my shadow following me around. Plus he likes looking for moles in the freshly turned over soil.

Can't remove propshaft from gearhead on rotary cutter.....ideas?

Can you flex the u- joint enough to get an air hammer in there? Or better yet split the u- joint and pull the yoke off.

    LX2610 or LX3310

I've been running a b2650 with five foot bush hog for the last couple years and I don't have any trouble. Last fall I helped a friend out by mowing down a few acres of six foot tall weeds and trees without problem. Prior to the Kubota I had a Massey Ferguson 135 and although it had more power it...

    Coolant

There was another thread a while back similar to this where the rad cap was leaking and the intake was sucking up the coolant hiding any sign of the leak.

    B3030 hst high gear problem

If you're not sure when the transmission was serviced last I would definitely start by changing the oil and filters. Then I would cut the filters open and look for debris.

    B7200 Finish Mower

If it were me I would pick up a 5' mower. If you have really tough heavy grass then a 4' might be better. Alot depends on the type of grass your cutting. Used mowers are always the better value. You can replace all the bearings belts and blades for a couple hundred bucks and you have a basically...

    Potential PTO Shaft Rotation Tool?

That's strange. I have a b2650 and with the PTO selector in the mid only position I can spin the shaft freely about a quarter turn.

AGM Battery? Is it worth it?

I replaced the battery in my airplane with a new AGM this spring and so far im not impressed. It doesn't seem to hold a charge when not being used for long periods of time. For a tractor I would just purchase a cheap lead acid.

Which Turf Tires for B2601? (LAST THING for NEW DELIVERY NOT ON HAND AT DEALER)

Taller tires will ride the bumps better than shorter tires will. I would also assume the shorter tires will be more stable on slopes.

Asphalt Millings for Driveway / Parking around shed?

I use asphalt millings quite a bit at work and it works good except if you get pot holes. You can't really grade it easily once it's hardened up like you can with gravel.

    HYDRO FILTER CHANGE

Hst filter won't lose much fluid. Suction filter will dump the whole thing if your not quick.

B3030 Industrial tires to turf conversion or suggestions

Did you have any luck finding tires? I have a b2650 with the same size tires as yours. My front sidewalls are cracking so I did a bit of internet searching and only found industrial tires in that size. Looks like if the tractor originally came with turf or ag tires it would have come with 12"...

    Land pride landscape rake

Thanks for the info about the gauge wheels. I hadn't thought of that. I was raking up a bunch of roots and sticks into little piles then was going to spin it around to push the little piles into one big pile but I guess I'll use the loader for that. Other than this one problem it seems like a...
