Thanks for the info! Have you tried them yet? I'm a bit concerned because it says it fits the L210 & L240, I'm pretty sure those are the smaller balls and tubes.

So far so good. Mowed with it for about 2 hours today with no issues.

Well, since I'm having such a hard time finding this, although 007kubotaguy has one that I'm going to get anyway, I designed and made my own crossover tubes. First set didn't work but the second seems to work great!

Here you go. I just made a bracket out of a piece of angle iron.

I measured the shaft and it's 1.5 or 2" longer than the L285 one so it probably won't work unfortunately. Tonight I designed a crossover tube that I can CNC machine. I'm probably going to try that this weekend. I'll have to order some 1/4" balls, but that shouldn't be a problem.

Any chance anyone knows if the steering shaft assembly for an L285( 34260-16200) will work in a L260 steering box? I see that they both use 1/4" balls and use the same upper & lower bearings. I'm hoping that maybe it'll work?! Thanks! Mike

I'm trying to just repair my steering now but I'm having a hard time finding anything for this model. I bought a Sparex ball & tube kit that I found on a youtube video, but it is slightly too small for mine. Does anyone know the part number for this model? Thanks, Mike

I've tried that too. I think it was set up that way but something went bad. When I got it the owner said the button had recently stopped working. It is supposed to work like your 185, but was Jerry rigged at some point. I think I'm just going to replace the starter switch and glow plug indicator...

Nope. The button seems to work, it had continuity when pressed but the ignition switch doesn't have continuity when rotated counterclockwise. In the pic, the two wires on the left go to the push button. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Now that it's getting cold out I need to get no glow plugs working. I was able to start it ok in the summer without them, but obviously not now. Anyhow, I think I narrowed it down to the ignition switch. When I turn it counterclockwise to activate then nothing happens. I cheers l checked...
