Tool box added in cab - L4760

My tractor spends most of its time on a piece of land two miles from my house, with no building on site. Naturally, there are various tools and such that need to live there too. So far, too many of them have been scattered throughout the cab of my L4760 HSTC. They can be locked up safely...

    First Car

Fun thread! Thanks to elderly relatives who stopped driving (thanks Aunt Pearl), I was given first a 1953 Chrysler Imperial (331 cubic inch hemi V8 ! - 180 HP). Later I came into a 1966 Pontiac Catalina from my Granddad. But the thread says cars I bought and paid for. Mistakes were made...

    For New Hampshire Members

BAP - Thanks for responding. My reading of the definition of "implements of husbandry" was that it included motorized implements that were not tractors but to "include" something is not to exclude all else. Why have a general definition of "implements of husbandry" if the only things affected...

    For New Hampshire Members

I looked hard at this question a month or so ago. I am a Granite Stater (well, lived here 30 years but born in the flatlands of Ohio). My land acquisition that requires an orange tractor is 2 miles away from my house (road through town). I have need to drive my tractor from house to land and...

    Remote cameras on a tractor?

I knew you guys were on this! Thanks for the good information. I had done a quick forum search without luck, but only for the search term "camera", and gave up too easily.

    Remote cameras on a tractor?

So, I figured back up cameras are for sissies, but on my automobile type vehicles I have gotten to like them quite a lot. I am sure that its been done, but I might as well just ask: Do Kubota folks mount remote cameras on their Kubotas? It seems to me a rugged camera offering a view of the...

Water in the cab (L4760 HSC)

Excellent forum advice - this forum is a great resource for the novice tractor owner. Many thanks.

Water in the cab (L4760 HSC)

Unlikely, seeing as they had not cleaned it at all, 3 and a half weeks after I agreed to purchase it subject to it passing my inspection. Based on corroded parts in the cab, including under the floor mat, I think the problem was of long standing. Maybe they had hosed it down many months ago...

Water in the cab (L4760 HSC)

Has anyone had the experience of water (presumably rain water) getting into the cab and saturating the cushiony material under the floor mat? I am wondering where it is getting in. The tractor at issue is an L4760 HSC, 2015. I was close to purchasing it (see the thread labeled "corrosion...

    Corrosion question

I went back to look again at the tractor today. I will share some observations but am going to ask a question on a new thread about water ingress into a cab. First, the worst apparent corrosion is on the loader bucket, which is a Woods. I looked at other Woods buckets on older tractors on the...

    Corrosion question

I agree 100%, and have already expressed my misgivings to the dealer. The guy I am dealing with has been very good to deal with, and his reaction was that the goal is to satisfy me the customer. Reassuring. It happens that the dealer has two other used L4760s (which I have not seen) and...

    Corrosion question

I am wondering about salt as well. In the cab, which had not been cleaned since winter use, there were lots of white speckles here and about, that to a New Englander's eye look like salt. I did not take pictures of the corrosion - it was after I left that I started to realize my desire for a...

    Corrosion question

I am well down the road to purchasing a 2015 L4760 from a nearby dealer (in New England). When the tractor arrived from a more distant branch of the dealer's small empire, I was surprised and disappointed by the extent of corrosion. The bucket had normal looking light corrosion on the inside...

    Which EA grapple to buy?

Thanks guys for the really helpful advice.

    Which EA grapple to buy?

Team K: I need a grapple for my L4760. The EA's seem to have a great reputation, and look like the bang-for-the-buck choice. My question - which should I get - the single jaw or the double jaw? My lot has many downed trees and much brush and slash for clean up. However, it also has a lot of...

    New here

Probably you have thought of this but both tractors being good solid items that should hold value well (low overall cost of ownership from start to finish), your dealer support and dealer experience might be a factor that makes one different from the other. Or perhaps that is close to a tie, too.

Cost of ownership - smaller vs bigger tractor

North Idaho - Wow. That is a very interesting thought. That pobably would work much better for the two years of clean up I have in mind. Looking into that idea.

Cost of ownership - smaller vs bigger tractor

Thanks for responses. To be clear, I fully intend to get a tractor that is 20% too big vs. 20% too small. Through the blessings of Devine Providence and living in the greatest country on earth, I can afford whatever is needed. In studying the models and choices, and watching the used...

Cost of ownership - smaller vs bigger tractor

Greetings - a newbie here. I just bought 17 rugged NH acres, and will buy a tractor shortly. This forum is great, very helpful in getting my mind straight on what to get. In looking at new and used Kubotas, and thinking about size and features, I see an interesting thing . . . I think. It...
