2014 L3800HST. I just checked the hydraulic pressure on my FEL and it was 2200psi @ 2000 RPMs and 2250 @ 2500 RPMs.
I have looked through past posts and cannot seem to find the post on how to increase the pressure with the washer and I vaguely remember an article about a vacuum to not lose...
I fabricated some lugs for the inside of the bucket. Welded the lugs on the inside of the bucket for heavy tugging and pulling and welded some hooks on the top for carrying stuff.
I relocated my fuel filter back over the loader tube. It still is not bulletproof but it handles cleaning up the clear cut 40 so far. The grill on the other hand has a 2" hole in it. Lol
That fitting is at the top of the tank. By the time it gets to the top of the tank the air should work itself out of the fuel. And the filter fills great as soon as I open the shut-off valve.
I put a fuel shut off directly in front of my Racor filter. You can see it in the pics. I also have the same filter setup in my 35gal bulk tank and I always have a complete replacement setup along with the kubota in the toolbox. This way I have no problems with water/fuel between the tractor or...
This is the filter setup I have on my tractor. Never skipped a beat since install.

This is where I mounted my Racor filter on my L3800. I didn't like the factory one or its location. This is protected better from a log being run over by the front tire. Not sure if this will work on your L2501
I have weld on chain hooks on the outside of the bucket and homemade lugs on the inside. The outside ones are welded nearest to the loader arms for strength. If I'm pulling hard I use 2 shackles in the outside lugs in a 'V' pattern to spread out the force. It also lets me connect chains easier...
What is the ideal weight to hang off the back of an L3800? I have the tires filled already, just trying to offset the loader bucket. I'm just going to hang some weights on the 3pt, just don't know how much.
I have been questioning the same, when I was shopping for tractors I did notice the 3901 has a much better seat. I will be investigating the possibility in the next month.
Yes they are similar in weight, and my tires are filled as well. I think I'll stay with the 72" and not go any bigger. I'll be in Andover next week, I'll stop over and bring some drinks. Lol.
How is the power to weight ratio? Have you been digging deep or scraping? With the 66" wide box does the tractor have plenty of power to move lots of dirt? I was thinking of getting the 72" with my L3800 but maybe i could go even bigger?
