GMail, YouTube, and other services down

I stand by the original thought that if data is "in the cloud" you have lost control of that data. If you erase it, you will never know if it was copied first. Encryption is a great idea that very few people really understand. Look up "public key encryption systems" - it is an elegant system...

GMail, YouTube, and other services down

The "cloud" is just a hard drive somewhere else ... absolutely no telling who owns it, but someone does, and they may or may not be technically competent. At all events, it is utter insanity to store anything vital or personal or essential or non-trivial in the "cloud". Sooner or later it WILL...

    Ignition Switch Wire

No matter what you grounded (except the black wire) on that start switch, the 15 amp fuse (at least) is toast. For a "kill switch" you might try a SPST inline with the orange wire, and physically hide the SPST switch. This advice is offered with no guarantee, and "at your own risk".

    3901 battery tender

Thanks for all the replies! The "battery tender" carries the nomenclature "Battery Tender", and has received good reviews. I was not aware of the notion of "surface charge" before. I suspect that as the culprit. Y'all stay safe out there!

    3901 battery tender

I have a 2015 L3901. Last year I put a battery tender on it, and after a couple of weeks it threw a code, basically indicating "over voltage". I took the battery tender off, cleared the code, and have had no more trouble. I want to put a switch on the battery to have the battery...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Snow in Oklahoma ? I just run the landscape rake through it, a hair off the ground - with the rake at an angle it will tumble the snow and break it up. Looks like the snow is still there, but with just a little sun, the raked snow melts much more quickly than the rest of the snow, and my...

    Ants in light switches

I have quite a few Walmart light switches installed in my workshop. They seem to be magnets for "sugar ants", who martyr themselves in the switch contacts by the thousands. That ruins the switch of course. The problem is such that I sometimes have to replace switches daily. Does anyone have...

    Just Purchased an L3901

I've had one for about five years - not a lick of trouble, and it is a beast of a machine for the uses I put it to.

    Gravel driveway

Just to be contrary, I have had good luck using a landscape rake turned backwards. It is not very agressive at all. I also use it for snow removal. Using the landscape rake turned backwards for several years has resulted in the gravel putting a sharp point on the tines of the rake. I...

Securing a PTO shaft when not in use

Just found this thread again after having lost it for a couple of weeks. The pics show a piece of cold bent rebar that I use to hold the driveshaft off the ground.
