Edge Tamers - NC 15 Inches of Snow

If you had watched the video I linked I address this. First I grew up in the snow belt of Ohio. I am used to a ton of snow. Now I live in NC where we get a few storms at best in the year. First I will address the ice. Ice is ice. Ice will not be scraped off by any bucket. You have to salt it if...

Edge Tamers - NC 15 Inches of Snow

Yes, that was a poor life choice. :D I am West of Winston Salem and pretty much was in the bulls' eye. Biggest I have seen in my 10 years here.

Edge Tamers - NC 15 Inches of Snow

As I noted in the end of the video they are great for folks like me that do not have the need for a bigger blade or snow pusher. We don't get that many snow falls in NC that would justify a $1000 spend on an implement only used a few times a year.

Edge Tamers - NC 15 Inches of Snow

Thank you! I was born in Saginaw and still visit there often. All to familiar with it there. ;-) North Carolina we get just enough to make it fun.

Edge Tamers - NC 15 Inches of Snow

All, I just wanted to share my video of me using some edge tamers on my L2501. We had 15 inches of snow where I live in NC and buying a snow pusher or even blade is not really worth the spend. They worked great! https://youtu.be/Ze5dIcQn8_M

    New Kubota L 3301DT

I am sure you could call Kubota and they would know when it was built and delivered based on the SN. Did you get some deal on it? Interesting that it would look so old already. But I am not an Dealer, just a customer myself.

After three years the verdict is out...

I probably have done the same for my truck (F250). Both were situations at the time I did not "have to have" the truck or tractor. I did not grow up with a truck ever own one before let along a diesel. My car was totaled and the need for a new car/truck was pretty immediate. The compelling...

    Msrp

When I finalized on the Kubota I wanted and knew what implements I wanted I had a list, built it on the Kubota site. The dealer I worked with originally was who I really wanted to do business with. I am a Sales guy myself and I don't play games with my customers and appreciated my Dealer doing...

    New L2501

Congratulations on the new tractor! Your process and thoughts were the same as mine. Your implements some are the same. I love this tractor! The only thing I added was top-n-tilt as I want to cut some ditches and some other applications with it. Enjoy!

    HST vs Gear drive

I have the 1860 Land Pride Rotary cutter. This is more heavy duty than the 1260. 5 foot but I am not sure 6 foot would be OK. I have read a number other sources in my research that do not recommend 6 foot brush hog.

    HST vs Gear drive

I have the L2501. I was in the same quandary. I was trying to lean towards the DT. The biggest problem was for me the gears are just not as easy for the loader/grapple work. My concern with the HST was going to be the power loss for a bush hog and tiller. I have a 1258 RTA tiller and it works...

Grapple from Skid Steer Attachment Depot.

Yes the Kubotas are assembled here in the US. Difference is that Mahindra smacks a big sticker on the loader and Kubota does not. The Land pride stuff is made here and we all know that. The warranty issues with Mahindra crossed them off my list long ago

Grapple from Skid Steer Attachment Depot.

Yep, even Mahindra slaps a "Made in the USA" sticker on their tractors.

After three years the verdict is out...

I would have to say the number one influence was my Dealer. Statesville Ag and Turf was very educational and helpful in telling me the pros and cons of each model and brand. They are a Massey dealer also so I was looking at them just as hard. I liked that I could get everything matched on the...

After three years the verdict is out...

So I have spent three years searching for the perfect tractor to take care of my 14 acres. This is my first tractor. I have looked, and test driven: Deere, Massey, Case, Mahindra, Yanmar, and Kubota. I have spent countless hours looking at the forums and reading review. The requirements are...

    LP Grapple Backlog?

I stopped by my Dealer today. He had called and they stated the grapple was built and waiting on the dock to be picked up on Tuesday. No rush on my end just very excited to get my L2501. :)

    LP Grapple Backlog?

Hello All! A few weeks ago I put an order in for an L2501 that has the LP SGC 1060 Grapple. It has been a few weeks and has not arrived (with the 3rd function) to the dealer. Any insight what the delays or why so long? Just excited to get the new tractor. Thank you!

    Should I buy a 2018 or wait for 2019.?

From what I have read and heard anecdotally the L2501s are in high demand. It would be rare for one to be laying around.
