    KH-28L Excavator, Price check

We do plan to stay here this winter. The house used to have an outdoor wood boiler but the people must have taken it when they got foreclosed on. (I'm in the process of trying to find one now) But everything is here for one, pad, tubes, wiring even a heat exchanger to the gas water heater. I...

    KH-28L Excavator, Price check

The guy that owned the property we bought used to have an excavator. He built a pond and several flattened out areas with stone ditches and banks. Before we bought it one of the ponds burms blew out and the water tore a trench through our lower field, about 3 ft wide 3 ft deep. Not to mention...

    KH-28L Excavator, Price check

They really make it hard to find information on Kubota's online. So I bought this 1987 KH-28L excavator (15,000 lbs) with 5,700 hrs for $7,500.00 the door is a little bent and needs new upper glass, it needs 1 new roller (bolts are loose and it squeaks) and I'd say it needs 2 new hoses on the...

    Hydraulic fluid location. HK-28L

Ok, I've figured out how to fill the hydraulic tank. You do have to take off the plate (cover) on top of the tank with the 6 bolts. Notice the location of the breather on top of the cover and the location of the tube with the spring in the top. The way the previous owner had the cover on that...

    Hello from Maine

Born and raised a MaiNiaK..!! Love anything with a motor in it. Parents owned a automotive garage for 20+ years, so I grew up tinkering. I've been a self employed carpenter/builder for the past 22 years. Have used a bunch of equipment over the years to ease the labor load on myself aswell as my...

    power steering

Might help if you include the model and possibly a picture. My father inlaw's BX2200 had a similar issue with his. The powers stearing pump in those is the hydraulic pump. He ended up having to replace his.

    Hydraulic fluid location. HK-28L

The hydraulic tank is right behind the diesel tank. You can see the fluid view window right where the hydraulic fluid tank is. I don't believe this excavator has a transmission. I believe everything is hydraulic. (But I could be wrong)

    Hydraulic fluid location. HK-28L

I recently bought a 1987 Kubota KH-28L excavator. I know this is probably a silly question but how do you top off the hydraulic tank? On top of the hydraulic tank there is a plate with 6 bolts holding it in place. There is also a breather and a center nut. The center nut is the size you would...
