What kind of tires?

I agree too, when there is a risk. But the fear of litigation can sometimes go too far. Better not leave your ROPS folded or someone might get on your tractor and roll it. What will the insurance company do if your 'having a cold' one while mowing. What about any Mods you do to your tractor...

Removing the ROPS also makes it easier to pass under the laundry line and avoid branches (and no, I don't want to cut my branches shorter). Tell me, umm...how many people override safety switches on everything from lawnmowers to heavy equipment. What a worry-wort society we live in.

Yeah, I got in touch with the dealer. They sent a guy out today who was very nice, changed out the coupling and took his time to make sure there were no other leaks. I hope to have a go with some light backhoe work tomorrow. Hopefully it is all sorted now.

Yeah, I don't get that either. He said they work more like snow tires on a car. I could see mayby turfs with chains, but turfs on their own don't seem right to me.

My BX1850 is the same way (can't roll the deck out from under). I usually only take the deck off at the end of the season, at wich point I put the loader on first and use loader down force to raise the front of the tracter. This gives me ample clearance to then roll the deck out.

Why would you need the dealer to do the swap? I take the ROPS off my BX1850 every year during the mowing season to allow for better clearance and reduce the weight. For me it's only four nuts on each side, pull the ROPS off and reinstall the nuts. I put it pack on for winter because I have...
