    grill guard

Here's how I made mine for a B3030. Getting the angles correct was the toughest. I had scraps of the screening and used several pieces and welded them together to make one full screen. I have a 2" receiver mounted on the front of the tractor where I can attach/detach this brush guard from the...

    B2601 how much ballast?

A little off topic but a friend gave me an old rusted ballast container made out of a 55 gallon drum (cut down to about 20 inches +/-) filled with concrete and pieces of lead imbedded in the concrete. He does not know what it weighs. Any suggestions on how I can determine it's weight? I...

    BX exhaust extension

I used a piece of copper pipe from a plumbing supply company (stores like Home Depot and Lowe's did not have the size needed). Heated it up with a propane torch to expand it, then slipped it over the exhaust pipe while hot and once it cooled it never moved. Been like that for years but it's...

    Broken top link mount

Here are a few links to hopefully help you out. If you don't go with a kubota backhoe reinforced bracket you could make one yourself or have it made. Also on one of the links (can't remember which one) it shows how someone placed X brackets to give the attachment some better support. Good...

    Broken top link mount

Gary, if I'm not mistaking Kubota makes an optional support for this. You might want to try Messicks in PA http://www.messicks.com/tractorparts.aspx and speak to one of the parts tech and ask them about this support. I remember where Kubota made the optional stronger top link bracket but...

    Work Lights on L3800

Quazz, nice job and you are correct how bright they are. You can really tell the difference with the light on the truck. Can you show a picture where you tied into for electric? I'm guess lights only work with the key on, correct? Again good job. Stanley

Luke warm heat in B3030 cabbed tractor

Again thanks everyone for your suggestions. Here is what I did. On Monday I removed the new thermostat and completely flushed the radiator system out using Prestone radiator cleaner n flush. I used a lot of water to flush the system a few times. I then reinstalled the thermostat before...

Luke warm heat in B3030 cabbed tractor

Tx Jim, the tractor has 300 + hours, original radiator fluid. I'm going to check the owner's manual and see what it says about when to change that. Regarding the cable whenever I push the lever all the way to the hot side it slowly creeps back just slightly. So that might be a good place to...

Luke warm heat in B3030 cabbed tractor

Thanks guys. I might try flushing the unit out completely whenever I get the chance. Also the heat valve ( I'm guessing controlled by the cable ) might not be opening/closing like it should. I think I might start first on removing the ceiling to see what's happening up there. It may take...

Luke warm heat in B3030 cabbed tractor

Just recently the temperature here got down to about zero degrees and I went to use my cabbed Kubota B3030 HSDC tractor to plow snow. I noticed the temperature gauge stayed at the 'cold' level the whole time I was out plowing which was about 4 hours. The heat was warm but did not get the usual...

Kubota fuel gauge stuck on full

This problem drove me crazy but it got fixed which is the bottom line! But I think next time I go to fill the fuel tank I may not fill it completely to the top like I've done in the past. Thank you for your help! Stanley

Kubota fuel gauge stuck on full

Fuel gauge problem fixed. Apparently the float somehow got stuck in the 'full' position. I decided to drain the tank, turned the key to on and the gauge read empty. I kept the key on and refilled what I had removed and as I was refueling the gauge slowly went from empty to a little over half...

Kubota fuel gauge stuck on full

Again thank you. When I took the sending unit out I opened it up (small metal cover plate) everything looked perfect, no broken wires, moves freely, etc. I'll let you know next week some time after I purchase the ohm meter.

Kubota fuel gauge stuck on full

GWD, thanks for the reply, what exactly do you mean when you say the positive terminal of the sending unit is grounding through the frame? And where exactly do I check for cracks? The tank is plastic also. I'll be going to HF next week sometime. Thanks again, Stanley

Kubota fuel gauge stuck on full

After 4 years of ownership and 270 hrs the fuel gauge on my B3030 HSDC is now stuck on full. I removed the dash to check for tightness of all wires, everything appears fine. I removed the sending unit and tested the float in a bucket of diesel fuel and it moves freely up and down. The weird part...
