I have to replace my ac compressor. Aftermarket is $600 and kabotas brand is $900. Thoughts?

Non of my lights are working. No work lights no head lights or signals. I have power to the wiper switch on my panel but the switch lights on the work light switches do not light up. All fuses in the under dash box seem good. Anyone else seen this problem or have an idea of the cause.
