    Piranha Toothbar

I put one on my L4600 with an LA 764 Loader. Havent used it too much but I am happy so far. Seems to be pretty well built. I will write a review once I get to use it a little more once the weather breaks around here.

    Cool video

I wish I had a backhoe on the back of my tractor, but that is some pretty impressive photography! I was really amazed in that it wasn't jittery out of focus or anything. Must be pretty high tech. Is there a transponder or something on the tractor to keep it filming the tractor so well??? Just...

    Something I do for fun

Re: Like Old Cars? Not any muscle cars but being that you live up around the Finger Lakes, have you ever went to the Glenn Curtiss Museum? It is in Bath, New York. It is really interesting and you could easily spend a day walking around checking everything out. I have been there a couple times...

    Something Smelling Hot

OK after going out today and checking and smelling fluids everything seems OK. After starting the tractor and looking at the Tach I was not running any higher than the 540 PTO mark which is around the 2600 RPM range not the 3000 that I was thinking where the 540 PTO mark was. I ran it around for...

    Something Smelling Hot

I was running in low range. I will recheck all my fluids tomorrow and run it around a little and see what happens. I am a little concerned at this point but I guess that is why I have a warranty.

    Something Smelling Hot

I agree, if that is the case then all the new tractors that Kubota sells should have the 50 required hours on the tractor with their so called break-in requirements. I think that to purchase a new tractor and to have to baby it for the 1st 50 hours is a ;ittle ridiculous. Just my opinion but I...

But to even cut grass you need to have the RPM's up over that RPM to get the proper PTO speed dont you ?

    Something Smelling Hot

That is not what I wanted to hear but I didn't think that I was pushing it that hard but I dont know. The logs were probably a couple hundred pounds that I was pulling which I wouldnt have thought that it was too much. So if thats the case I should just run it aroung for how many hours not doing...

    Something Smelling Hot

I did have it in 4WD since I was going thru a snowy field and I did bump up the RPM's since it feel like it was losing power, probably up near 3000 RPMs. I had it in low range and I am pretty sure that I had the parking brake off as well but I will check it out today.

    Something Smelling Hot

Was out working with my new L4600HST toaday dragging some logs down to my fire pit and something smells hot after dragging one 6-8 foot log. It seemed like it was losing power too and I heard some noise back around the rear end area every once in a while. My tractor doesn't even have 6 hours on...

Cleaning a 300 Gallon Diesel fuel tank

I had the same issue. I bought a 275 gallon oil tank that had about 20 gallon of home heating oil in it, and by the time I got it home I checked to see what the heating oil looked like. The oil was like black sludge from everything sloshing around for about 25 miles. I drained it and used a...

    Fuel cost

I remember as a kid that gas was 27 cents a gallon and that was at a full service gas station and they used to give stuff away when you filled up your tank or got over 8 gallons of fuel to boot! Those were the days! What happened ? I didn't get to take advantage of those prices as by the time...

    New L4600 in Garage

It seems to tear it up in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. I will try to not turn too fast and see what that does but so far I am still pretty happy with my purchase!:D:D I started cleaning up a row of logs that are starting to decay and it worked well. I ordered one of the pirahna tooth bars and...

    New L4600 in Garage

Thanks for all the info on the deck treatment. I guess I have a year to figure it out since it is recommeded to let it dry out thoroughly before treating with anything. And if the R4's slip in wet grass then I guess I made the right choice, I was just suprised as to how much the R1's tear up...
