Favorite Chemicals for Coolant Flush

Off topic here but that's funny you bring up geothermal loops as your past experience. I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a geothermal system here before winter hits... 4 ton closed loop Waterfurnace 7 series Back on topic, I haven't had time to do the flush yet but I am hoping to get it...

    Favorite Chemicals for Coolant Flush

Very well put OldeEnglish. Although more work in the long run, I think that is a superior approach to doing everything in one shot. I guess my thought with running the cleaner through the block was that if I can get most of the scale into suspension it would make it easier to flush out. I am...

Stubbyie I agree that none of these methods will yield a radiator as clean as bringing it to a professional to be worked over. I also agree that a new radiator would be an acceptable fix, although a bit more expensive. However, these methods will only clean the radiator and not address the rest...

I agree on not using Draino - too harsh for my liking... has anyone ever tried using one of the many citric acid cleaners? I know is a relativity gentle acid - I use it for cleaning brass for reloading ammo, but not sure if it would be strong enough for scale in a cooling system. Just thinking...

    L210 Wont Start

As you mentioned, smoke coming out your crankcase usually means your rings are shot or cylinder walls are scored (or both, they like to go hand in hand)... when the tractor quit on you, did you hear any noises that might indicate anything else? Usually when the rings are going it just keeps...

I've heard about the Arm & Hammer solution - I may have to give that a whirl just from a simplicity and low cost aspect! If it doesn't work - hey I'm not out a whole lot! :D Radiator screen is clean I've used TSP for other projects, but can't say I've ever thought to use it in a cooling...

    Favorite Chemicals for Coolant Flush

I've done plenty of coolant flushes in mostly the automotive and powersports world, but usually I do it is as PM instead of a response to a problem. My Kubota L305DT is getting warm when at PTO Operating speed and tends to stay up there until I throttle back and reduce the load. I've had a...

    Kubota L305DT Secondary Clutch Adjustment???

Yep - this is on the list of things to do. I've done plenty of Cooling system flushes before but it's always been with straight water and never on something with a fair amount of scale build up. Has anyone used any additives to assist with getting most of the scale dissolved and flushed out...

    Kubota L305DT Secondary Clutch Adjustment???

Hey guys - it's been a while, life has been a bit crazy... Thought I'd put an update out - it doesn't look like I will be able to adjust the secondary clutch without splitting the tractor. I haven't found any literature saying that I can adjust it and I do not see any access to be able to get at...

    Kubota L305DT Secondary Clutch Adjustment???

Sorry - tried posting a couple times with my phone but the website kept hanging up... Unfortunately work has kept me from having time to tinker with the tractor... I am hoping to have some time this weekend to get into it a bit more! Work has been crazy busy, but I guess that's a good problem...

    Kubota L305DT Secondary Clutch Adjustment???

Ok, thanks! When I get home I'll have to see which bolt it is that I'm seeing... The orientation of the schematic has me questioning which bolt it is... I want to say the bolt under the rear cover is the wrong one as I think it is in the same location regardless of what position the flywheel is...

    Kubota L305DT Secondary Clutch Adjustment???

Not entirely sure, it was hard to see... I'm in WI right now, but it looks like the bolt on the picture below that I put the red arrow to. I'll have to see if I can get a better view when I get home [/IMG]

    Kubota L305DT Secondary Clutch Adjustment???

Thanks for the pics - that does look a little different than mine... I finally had a second to find my photobucket info to get a couple pictures uploaded. You can see in the first picture that the rear inspection port (circled in blue) is very similar to the rear inspection port on your...

    Kubota L305DT Secondary Clutch Adjustment???

Update The second inspection port cover does not lead me anywhere. It looks to be for observing a timing mark on the flywheel. No bolts in sight here. Back to the drawing board... Ideas?
