L2501 air filter on snowy day?

I’ve had my L2501 for a couple years now, but this is the first time I’ve had what I believe is my air filter clog up from blowing snow. Does anyone have a good way of keeping snow out of the air filter on this tractor model? I was plowing my road covered in 2 feet of snow with light fluffy...

    L2501 little to no power?

MarksJeep, As I shared earlier, my first step was to drain the fuel filter bowl, fill it with seafoam, screw it back on, run the tractor for about a minute, while cycling the throttle from idle to full and back. Then I shut it down and parked it for about 2 hours before starting it back up and...

    L2501 little to no power?

Thanks again guys. Assuming I have (had) some algae growth in there somewhere. Is the right next step adding a biocide to the fuel tank and then just letting it run? I assume the fuel filter will collect the junk that passes that way and I'd have to hope that everything down stream of the...

    L2501 little to no power?

Update: Thinking I may have had a gummed up injector, I pulled the fuel filter bowl, drained it and re-filled it with Sea Foam. Re-installed and ran the motor for about a minute, and parked it. 2 hours later, went back out, fired it up and it ran fine. Cut some grass, no problem. Heavy...

    L2501 little to no power?

Thanks NIW. What does algae look like in the fuel? Can you see it in the filter bowl? My filter bowl looks crystal clear and the filter does not show any sings of color change.

    L2501 little to no power?

Ugh! I hope you are wrong. I literally just topped off the tank with fresh fuel, after running it down all winter long. The fuel filter has about 20 hours on it and looks clean and clear. I pulled it off and drained the bowl and reinstalled with no change. But now that you mention it, the...

    L2501 little to no power?

I've had my L2501 since new, almost 3 years now, and about 70 hours on the meter. It was a pretty dry winter here, so it didn't get used much. a few days ago I hooked up the rear rotary cutter and headed out to mow today. I let the tractor idle up to temperature, and then I drove out to the...

    Key Start Fuse?

While out plowing snow yesterday my L2501 engine died, and it would not start again. I found a blown 5amp key start fuse, replaced it and the tractor fired right up. Knowing I've probably got a short somewhere, I'm wondering which electronics are powered on the 5amp key start circuit? Does...

First time using my front (FEL) mount snow blade

I've got a similar driveway to a number of you guys (steel and turny with drop offs on the side) and I can relate to the original poster's challenges. The difference between a bobcat pushing snow and a tractor is the wheelbase and the length of the plow arms and the distance from wheels to the...

After three years the verdict is out...

Thats a great setup. I have one question for you though, as I too work on hilly terrain: Why did you opt to space out the rear wheels versus fill them will liquid for stability?

Brand-new MX4800 - not happy with power output

While looking at various Kubota tractors prior to my purchase I noticed that while some tractors had similar rated HP numbers (L2650 vs L2501) the torque numbers associated with the motors were quite different. I did that research a few years ago. I can't seem to find the rated torque numbers...

    L2501 - rear electric options?

Thanks guys. I'll have to check the amperage on my sprayer and figure out the right option from there.

    L2501 - rear electric options?

I'm running a weed sprayer off the back of my L2501. It's got the need for a 12v electric connection. Is there a simple location to tie into 12v power around the seat or ROPs on this tractor?

    New B2601 in the garage

Congrats on the new tractor! Your position control sounds normal. Based on the size of your 3 point implement will determine at what position the implement engages the ground. With my box blade I can actually lower it below tire level so I can back up to a creek and pull rocks off the bottom...
