I see you got back to me quick, thanks. wish I would have seen your post before I bought a rebuilt one for 650.

I found out there are 2 styles of steering boxes, haven't found any new parts for our old style. west Kentucky tractor has rebuilt ones for 650 plus a 200 dollar core charge. Ouch! I'll probably go that route. my first tractor, can't imagine doing some projects without my little girl.

well I just used wbk's way of removing the steering wheel worked like a charm. soaked it with penetrant for a day, put the steering assy. between my legs wheel on top, nut FLUSH with top of shaft ( capitalized flush because on the first try I damaged a thread by not having it flush) hit it hard...

do you still have your old sector shaft? I'd be interested in buying it.

on my little girl the sector shaft is shot.

Can't find parts for my B6000 steering box, need new one. my sector shaft is shot. Help, don't want to put the old girl out to pasture.

where did you guys get your old B6000 parts?
