    Snow removal VIDEO!

You could make better time if you would turn the blade around and drive forward. Also easier on the neck. Bob

Need help!! Still no oil pressure!!

Finally found the problem. I dropped the front axle and oil pan again to look at the oil galley. What I found was a spot behind the mounting area for the oil pump that looks like it was scraped by the crankshaft. In that scrape there appears to be a crack that runs vertically. When I pry the...

    Box vs Rear Blade?

I built a grading scraper last year to take care of about a mile of cabin road. Used to use a rear blade cranked off at a sharp angle to knock off the tops of the wash board. always had to keep adjusting the blade height. With the grading scraper it's pretty much drop it and drive. It rides...

Need help!! Still no oil pressure!!

This engine will start and run. therefore I assume that the crankshaft gear is turning. The oil pump is directly below the crank gear. i installed a new key in the oil pump shaft when I installed the oil pump. the crank key was good also. I'm starting to wonder if there could be a crack in...

Need help!! Still no oil pressure!!

From what I've read my engine is different from those that had a cam plug. Also I've read that those that had the cam plug fall out, they still had about 7 P.S.I of oil pressure. My engine has absolutely no oil pressure. I can take the oil pressure switch out or the oil filter off and crank...

Need help!! Still no oil pressure!!

My L3010 HST lost oil pressure suddenly a while ago. I replaced the oil pick-up tube first then the oil pump. There is still absolutely no pressure. After installing the pump I pulled the engine stop lever and cranked the engine to prime the pump. After a while I let the engine start oil...

    L3010 timing cover removal problem!

I don't see motor mounts. The motor is bolted to the frame rails. Not looking like much fun to remove loader brackets without being able to use the hydraulics. The offending bracket is the piece that the rear most front axle bracket is bolted up to from underneath. Might have to find a way...

    L3010 timing cover removal problem!

I' m trying to remove thetiming cover to replace the oilpu pump. The problem is that I can't get at the lower two bolts. There is a piece of frame material in front of the bolt heads. Removed the front axle to try to gain access also, still a no go. There is also a Schwartz Mfg. ( SMC) loader...

    Landpride GS 1560 grading scraper?

You will like the job that it does. I built one two years ago based on that design with some added features from designs found on-line. I made it just under 6' wide, added a "tailgate" that can be pinned up (horizontal), rotated forward to rest against a stopper to filter out material smaller...

You're in Mo., what do you need a heater for?? Here in Wi. my L3010 has a heater in the lower radiator hose that Iv'e never used. It has started at -12*F for me multiple times. Just cycle the glow plugs a couple of times, and run a light oil in the winter. Bob.

    L3010 oil light on!

So, after thinking about the lack of oil in the oil filter when I removed it last night, I'm leaning toward the oil pick-up tube sucking air. Does anyone have a service manual for this tractor that is willing to share the oil pan removal procedure? Particularly the the removal of the front...

    L3010 oil light on!

Well pulled the oil filter and installed an oil pressure tester there . . . no pressure there either. Now to flip the coin, Remove the oil pan and check the pick-up tube, or pull the front cover and replace the oil pump. Still confused over the oil leak then the loss of oil pressure. Saw on...

    L3010 oil light on!

Update: Found some time to take a look at the tractor tonight. I didn't have an oil pressure gauge handy, so I decided to remove the oil pressure switch to check for any pressure. Stuck a rag over the oil switch hole and started it for about 5 seconds. No oil appeared on the rag!! Not what...

    L3010 oil light on!

Thanks for the replies. The oil level is right at the full mark. The leaking oil is definatly diesel oil (black). The weird thing is that the oil patern on the ground looks more like a spray pattern than a pour pattern. When I started it up to look at it the oil was not dripping. Just...

    L3010 oil light on!

Wow, I thought there would be more replies. Curious if a plugged oil filter could cause this. Not sure if there could be a by-pass valve stuck open. Bob
