    I think that Kubota are inconsistent with their model numbering. Usually, the first 2 numbers after the L or M etc refer to an approximation of the HP (rounded up of course, but then they would, wouldn't they).     Interesting maybe. There was a John Deere tractor that was produced probably 30 years ago that had a hydraulic motor in each front wheel, it was known as a 3 wheel drive Deere. Perhaps the original poster needs more weight on the back, as well as the 4 wheel drive engaged.
