Did you trade a tractor toward new one?

I traded in a 3 year old BX2660 with FEL and a 6' deck, 250 hours for a B2601. My dealer gave me about 9500 trade in value, and lowered the price on the 2601 a few thousand also. In my area used 2660 are going for about 11 grand. When you add in the tax you'll have to pay on income tax for...

    R4 vs R1 on B2601

I believe the R4 is the best all around tire, and it is more puncture resistant. I mow a lot with MMM, and use the loader quite a bit. Since I have a 60" bucket, the front end can get very heavy with a load of wood. And I have a 52" rear tiller that is very heavy. I appreciate having the R4s...

    New B2601

Yep, lots of stickers! I wanted the turf on my original BX, but my dealer talked me in to the R4s as they are more puncture resistant. They were great in the dirt, and worked fine on the yard. I mowed a little last weekend, but the ground was wet and it started raining. I'll see how it looks...

    New B2601

I now have 5 hours on the 2601. I absolutely love this tractor. Here are a couple of pics. Getting ready to till the ground now that we've burned it off.

    new b2301

Lucky you, Trex! Glad you are having fun. I have .4 hours on my 2601 and starting tomorrow I'll get my chance to enjoy it. We just burned the old weeds and stalk off of a couple acres of our sunflower plot. I'll be breaking the tractor in tilling with my Woods 52 inch tiller, and then a couple...

    New B2601

Hey Wngnut Pat - I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday, and he was buying a new Kubota. I told him I had just purchased a B2601. He said he considered it, but didn't want the ECONOMY model (2601). He bought the Deluxe model with a cab. You were right on with your description of Economy...

    New B2601

Economy?!:confused: In all of my research, that's the first time I've heard that term. It has most of the features of the 2650, including tilt wheel. Must be a marketing phrase!:D;)

And the 2650 w cab weighs about 675 pounds more.

    New B2601

The original delivery date was tentative, as we were waiting on a date for my wife's surgery. Bill at Rolph's Implement kindly rescheduled for me. As for the seat, it isn't a spring suspension like on the 2650, it has coils. But the seat itself aside from the suspension is more...

    New B2601

Tractor scheduled to be delivered tomorrow afternoon! I'm off today, as my wife is having hernia surgery. I'm anxious about the surgery, but excited about the new B2601.... The PTO shaft for my tiller didn't need to be replaced after all. It was still long enough to work even after being cut...
